Coach Rich better find a good secondary coach during the off season because who ever they have now certainly hasn’t gotten the job done

Nederland defense is about as bad as you can get!

Texas High will not get hit in the mouth this week either. Why because Nederland has a very poor defense. Look for Texas High to score at least 42. 38 to LC, 44 to Huntsville, and28 in the 4th quarter to Montgomery and 34 total. They have played 2 decent defensive games WOS and PNG. Lumberton was so bad that doesn’t count So let me see that would be 7 games with poor defense especially the last 2 I am going to say Tr as High 42 and Nederland 21

#1 Nederland has a few knuckleheads that are mouthed and hit late. you could see it when Barrow coached and you see it now I was hoping Coach Rich would get rid of it, but it hasn’t happened yet and all those personal foul penalties have really hurt the past 2 weeks, so I am not surprised a foul was called, someone on the sideline could have been mouthing Next the Bulldog defense is not good, so it’s not like they weren’t prepared, they are simply not very good I certainly haven’t seen any post other than mine stating this defense let Montgomery score from 60 yards away in a minute. That should tel how bad the defense is, so if they couldn’t stop Montgomery, how ain the world are they going to stop Texas High I suggest they put Thomas and Sunday on defense as well as offense thiss week

I think Thomas and Sunday will play well, however Nederland’s weak secondary will most likely give up 28

The last time I checked Texarkana was 10-0 and rated #4 in the state. I like your optimism, however you don’t realize how bad Nederland’s defense is and also all the personal foul penalties due to a few undisciplined players

I know that the punt team and defense doesn’t look good for the Bulldogs you have a chance to be co champions and get the 1 seed and you give up 21 in the last 8 minutes of the game The last 60 yard drive in 1 minute. If you think that is good you have had 1 too many dives off the deep end without any water in the pool

Rez good post, however I take it that you have not Nederland’s defense. They have given up 40 a game the past 2 games and choked up the 4th quarter vs Montgomery giving up 21. Why because the secondary is very poor and the LB’ers are not very good with the exception of #6 who is really a DE I do hope you are right, but after watching the past 2 games I see Texas high scoring at least 42. Big Ned maybe 28 more like 21 Had a very good season though

I don’t know if it is hiring new defensive coaches, changing the DC or better teaching The defense has been very poor You are playing for a co championship and have a 28-21 lead with 1 minute to go and you let them go 60 yards in 1 minute to tie the game personal fouls need to be addressed- obviously there are too many players mouthing and hitting late. That cost the Dogs big time Texas High probably 42 plus and the Dogs 14 maybe 21

No, the fan that always wants both to do well, however doesn’t sugarcoat anything Astros did a good job of winning division and making playoffs, but not the season of the past few years. The Bulldogs having an excellent year under new coaching staff, but defense and punt team are struggling I believe both are results of not having the talent in certain areas

That is why you have a scouting report and get prepared Saturday and Sunday as a coaching staff. The Bulldogs knew what Huntsville was going to do on offense, they just couldn’t get it done on defense When it comes down to it, I read too many excuses for poor play by some posters Hopefully they get it done this week

Freshman QB for Huntsville was good, however the porous Bulldog defense made him look like an all American The LB ‘er and secondary play for the Bulldogs was comparable to A&M’s defense vs SC The Bulldogs have averaged giving up 34 a game these past 4 games and yes I know punt team has given up some of those points I certainly think the Bulldogs have improved a lot from last year and are playing much harder and not giving up, but I just don’t see much talent on the defensive side of the ball

Love what Coach Rich has done this season, however is he going to be like Faircloth with a very good gritty offense, but zero defense? The last 4 games West Fork a 1st year varsity program- 28 points Lake Creek - 38 points PNG - 21 points Huntsville- 44 points Hopefully it is just not much talent on defense this year I know from watching all season the secondary and LB’ers are just not very good Hopefully they will play well vs Montgomery

How is telling the truth about how they played tonight ridiculous Are you going to tell me that the defense played good! I certainly hope they win next week, but like I said the defense has 3 practices to right the ship. I just don’t think they can do it after watching them get mauled tonight, but I hope I am wrong

That is correct, but probably the 4 seed if Montgomery QB scrambles. Nederland’s secondary does not contain well or tackle well or cover well and the LB’ers other than #6 are basically non existent, so the Bulldogs better score a lot of points I was hoping #1 seed after tonight’s game, however watching the defense tonight I just don’t see them winning

Yes special teams hurt again, however a pathetic defense was the deciding blow

PNG 6-1 plays 4 seed at home Huntsville 5-2 plays 3 seed at home Montgomery 5-2 plays 2 seed away Nederland 5-2 plays 1 seed away

Well the good news is Coach Rich and staff have done a very nice job this year and the Bulldogs will be in the playoffs The bad news is after watching their defense tonight they will be the 4th seed after Montgomery beats them next week and will get a long trip to Texarkana 7-4 season is much improved from the past several seasons

It has been a year since I have seen a Bulldog defense this bad
