How good is he so far? I assume we will have more of a passing attack this year in the spread.

I was thinking about Woodville's scrimmages so I was definitely thinking of maybe we can win there but I also took consideration of RB Tyga Parker's injury in the Livingston scrimmage. You would know better than me if he's healthy for Week 1 against Liberty but until I see something different we will lose that game because the offense rolls through him even though we're in the spread offense. As far as Shepherd goes that district is going to be in a rude awaking if they count them out especially if the QB and RB is still there assuming.

I think Liberty has improved a little bit but I think the Trojans still has their number give me Coldspring by 10. Also I see a few predictions to start the pre-district for the Trojans: 1. Vs. Liberty - I just mentioned above. 2. Vs. Shepherd - I will be at this one if I don't have to work at a Huntsville game that day but if the Pirates still have those weapons from last year at QB and RB then I see the Trojans losing this one again but it will be a closer game... Lose by 7 3. Vs. Beaumont Kelly - Don't know anything about the Bulldogs but I assume that they won't be a threat at all... Win by 14 4. Woodville - An old district foe and we always play them close until the second half of each game we've played for the last few seasons. Plus I want to see this QB from there everyone is talking about but I see us losing this one by 12. So I have us so far I have us 2-2 but easily could be 3-1 (depending on how the Shepherd game plays out).

I was told by some of the staff at the high school during the duration that I worked for Huntsville ISD for the past few years. I guess for awhile SHSU has had major events there that goes on during football season and it can't accommodate high school games any longer. They've been talking about needing upgrades to the stadium (I wonder how is that going to happen as one knows that area is very closed in to be adding any type of upgrades to the bleachers or whatever) but I've always wondered why it took so long for Huntsville ISD to build a stadium on their on.

It all depends on if SHSU wants to host playoff games there anymore... From what I've heard they wanted to stop hosting high school games there altogether hence one of the reasons why Huntsville has a new stadium to begin with.

No that stopped at the beginning of last season... Bowers Stadium may be getting upgrades soon since SHSU moved to C-USA.

It's very nice but I would take yall's stadium instead.

At least they could have made the design different than Huntsville. It's almost identical to theirs.

I'm just going by what I saw in that first scrimmage against Liberty with my own eyes and the HJ scrimmage from hearsay. Just didn't like what I saw personally that's all but I still having them winning our district though.

Do you know anything about the Coldspring and Crockett scrimmage?

Not in the coverage area but Sulphur Springs and Kaufman played all 4 live quarters with their starters. Scrimmage just ended with a tie 28-28.

Not looking good for Anahuac in these 2 scrimmages so far.

Yes they did, 3 TDs in live portion for them only one garbage TD at the end for Anahuac. We play Liberty Week 1 so hopefully this was just a fluke of a scrimmage by Anahuac or Liberty has improved since last season.

Zach was my brother's classmate and I somewhat keep up with them from time to time. Both of them were good QBs for Shepherd.

Seth was a classmate of mine when I was still in school at Shepherd back in 2004-2005. Very capable of getting these guys ready to complete this year especially if he has learned anything coaching knowledge from his father. ( A very good coach and even better man).
