Should be a "decent" game. Harmon will run for 225. Vidor will be held to less than 130 yards rushing. Doty will throw for 3 with Harmon rushing for 2. PNG wins 35-14

I think it has less to do with "weight" and more to do with MUSCLE MATURITY. A 7 yo who weighs 90 pounds is not nearly the same as a 11 yo who weighs 90 pounds. Ive seen peewee kids who weigh 75 pounds but take them and line them up with a senior league kid who weighs 75 pounds..which there are plenty of...and there is no match up. Im pretty sure its more to do with this than the other.

I think I see a trend starting...each week all I read is how PNG will have a rough week. Staring with BH...which granted was 21-20...then Crosby with their "superman" QB... this week it is an unstopable running game. Hey..i'll take 2-0 and welcome all the nay sayers at this point. I was worried about last weeks Crosby game to be honest...this week Im more curious mixed with a minor piece of worried. Just another chance for PNG to prove what they have. Lets see how we handle the run this week and see what everyone has to say next week. Im predicting PNG by 14+

7TH GRADE Groves Braves - 18 Mauricville Panthers - 0 Good thing to finally have 7th grade ball going in PNG. Was good for the kids. 6 min quarters..short and sweet...good experience for the kiddos.

junior png purple 25 - vidor white 23 png made a goal line stance from 1st and goal from the 2 with 1:10 left in the game. vidor kids played tough. theyre coaches,players and fans were class acts. i wish everyone had a facility like vidor..love to go play there.

If the number of fans at the scrimmage is any indication of things to come..should be a full house. Im not sure Ive ever seen that many fans there for a scrimmage and you have to imagine that if the weather had been good that evening it would have been even more. Going to be a good one for sure.

i had a long good response to ya raider44 but... in short..everyone has their opinions...and i dont agree with you...at the high school level yes....at 9-10 years old no. there should be a set limit on temperatures.... its very dangerous regardless of how tough you think it makes the 6 year old flag kids on saturdays. ( Even a time limit or longer mandatory half time..something) Next lightning storm and a game gets cancelled..lets give em all long steel rods and have em hold those while they play..that'll toughen em up. ( More kids die from heat related illness's every year than the same amount of lighting strikes over 10 years) and besides..you said it best..we do live in SOUTHEAST TEXAS for pete's sake..we should act like we have a brain and let it reflect in our decisions when dealing with our kids safety. Im all for a mercy rule in youth sports...i actually think the 10 run rule is a great rule in little league baseball...we are here to protect these kids physically and mentally. The kiddos playing 3-5 baseball games on Sunday..should have been sitting in Church.. THATS whats wrong with the world today. This isnt Marine Boot Camp...it's junior league football... does em no good to be tough and all at 9-10 if they end up hating the game and dont choose to play in high school.... and I'll leave it to a man named Faircloth to prepair my boys for two-a-days. Agreed...there should be some thought put into that..shorter quarters...and after saturday i wouldnt be opposed to starting the season a little later where it pushes more into the fall...cooler temps.

We didn't want the score to be like that either and you're right it is difficult for both sides. We put alot of different kids in and some that will never carry the ball again. I wish I knew how many different kids scored. We did not run up the score. Yes it was miserably hot out there. I understand and hope that you understand that was exactly what I meant in my original post. But from my experience on both ends of the stick, it is still better to be on the winning end. ;D Yes it is. Without a doubt...score wasnt ran up...purple kids wouldnt have tackled their lil sisters saturday...it was what it was and i'll be the first to say this...WO- White is prob the best team Ive seen at this level period. WOS White junior - 54 png purple junior - 0 PNG was beat before the game even started. On a side note...OMG it had to have been the hottest day for junior league football in the history of the world. MISERABLE..Poor kids..couldnt imagine playing in conditions like that...I dont know why they dont schedule more evening games...I guess when a kid falls out with heat stroke they'll take a look at it. No way in heck boys this age should be playing football in this kind of heat. It's actually kind of dangerous if ya ask me. When a kid crashes from a heat related illness..they crash fast and your in trouble. Hope everyone stays well hydrated this summer.

no comment...there will be a few surprise teams this year... alot of teams had alot of changes from last season. Why don't ya hear of anything about the beaumont teams on here? If Im not mistaken it's alot of future central boys...bound to be some good talent between those two teams.

all the PNG junior teams had a rotating scrimmage with each other this evning..looked decent.Anyone have an update on the Beaumont jr. teams? A guy at work said he thought it was their first year to play at this level? Anyone know anything about them? Im not even sure what parts of BMT they are from..or is it a city wide thing? I think I noticed someone saying something about certain zones?

nevermind..other coaches feel like we need to spend the time working on some other things.
