Stuff like that happening Vidor never happened when I went to school in Vidor and I moved here in 1991 and graduated in 2005 and I can vividly remember that we have never done that during my era of time in Vidor and Mathews surely would never put up with it himself.

I think it was agreed to have a game, but I'm guessing bthey didn't like the fact of coming to Vidor then backed out. Then decided on a game with Fulshear.

Kevin Steele reached out to Mathews, and I found out through my nephew and his cousin.

They decided to play Fulshear after their game with Clear Lake was cancelled.

The games between both Ozen and Central when Vidor played them, it was always very classy and respectful. A reason why alot Vidor fans like myself loved when we played against them. There was never any ill-will towards either team.

Alot of those kids on that state finalist team got whooped by those Vidor kids in 2019.
