  1. Vidor may not be the biggest, fastest, or better team. But they will definitely make their presence known on that field.
  2. He's excited for that matchup Thursday! lol... I appreciate it, he makes this uncle proud doing what he does on that field.
  3. I'll be there for sure. Should be an intense, great scrimmage like usual!
  4. I thought Vidor looked good especially on offense, quick off the ball, ball carriers are hard nosed and hard to bring down and had alot of YAC unlike the past few years. QB threw about 6 or 7 passes and only had a few incompletions. He also has great vision and very speedy. But had some miscues with false starts and fumbles which was expected in the first scrimmage. Defense looked salty like expected, Buna scored on a long pass play on their second drive. I don't think they crossed the 50 yard line maybe twice all night. But WOS will be a much better measuring stick next week!
  5. Vidor 4 Buna 1 scrimmage was a 4 quarter game simulation.
  6. Vidor is looking good from what my nephew told me Thursday. Offense looks better than last season, and he's optimistic about his team this year!
  7. We got Buna first scrimmage, not sure home or away.
  8. Is the scrimmage with Buna gonna be in Vidor?
  9. That's a game im gonna keep my eye on. Those Jasper boys are physical. Gonna be a great game regardless!
  10. Since football season is inching closer and we're kinda in a dead period til August when two-a-days start. Which non-district team are you excited for your team to play this season and why? I'll go first. For me, I'm excited for the Pirates to play Silsbee to start the season since hurricane Laura ruined those plans last season. Last time Vidor played the Tigers was in 2004, 17 years ago when the Pirates won 28-27. If this game is anything like years past, it's gonna be a great game and good measuring stick going forward into the season.
  11. Thank you!! Good luck to your Lions as well and they do have a legitimate shot at the crown, looking forward to the game at the boneyard this season!
  12. Yup, I believe any team can be beaten on any given Friday night in this district, especially this season with all the new coaching changes. I can't wait!
  13. I completely agree with this. I believe HH has the most starters coming back out of the whole district.
  14. I agree, I think they might be another team like Livingston was last season.
  15. 1. (24) Huffman-Hargrave Falcons. 2. Livingston Lions. 3. Vidor Pirates. 4. Splendora Wildcats 5. LCM Bears. 6. Lumberton Raiders. Preseason Offensive MVP - (QB) Luke Thomas, Huffman Hargrave. Preseason Defensive MVP - (DL) Jordan Smith, Vidor.
  16. Just that Vidor will be playing Bellaire Episcopal at home this season to replace St. Pius X. So, does anyone have any info on them? Only thing I know is that former Alabama star and newly drafted Miami Dolphin, Jaylen Waddle is an alumni from there.👀
  17. Man Jasper is gonna have a tough sledding in pre-district this year.😬
  18. Yup he played basketball too, he graduated in 2003. So he wasn't on those good Pirate basketball teams we had between 2003-2005.
  19. Thank y'all so much for the info, it's my first time subscribing to DCTF and wasn't sure about the magazine and how it works! lol Looking forward to the 2021 SETX football season! 🙌🏼
  20. Any idea when DCTF will drop the fall football edition magazine? I just signed up and ordered for it. Just curious when they they usually send them out. Thanks, piratevillain
  21. Yup , he played basketball as well. His little brother Jared, went to Texas Tech on a football scholarship as well but didn't really pan out with him there. Not sure what happened with that.
