I think you guys are missing the point, he said they were showing interest in him to play safety....not saying I think he could play for OU or any other top D1 school, but we don't know what kind of offers the kid is getting so let it be! He is a great athlete and I wish him the best! Good luck

Why don't you worry about the regular season, especially district before you start talking playoffs! Anything can happen, take it one game at a time and don't look past anyone! That's when it comes back to bite ya.

Pantherplaya you were talking trash about Hardin at first, now you're all on their junk! What happened got tired of hearing it from the Hardin fans? Useful track? I seen hardin's track, that they finally got after having that dirt one for years, and it looks like maybe 4 lanes. Daisetta on the other hand has a brand new track that is I believe 6 lanes! And as far as getting shut down for academics, get your facts straight before posting something putting a school down.

So if we weren't anything special, but we beat ya'll, what does that make ya'll? Oh yeah, just Deweyville! Don't think the bobcats were trying to do anything special because Hardin was there scouting.

Actually I believe it was 2-0. When ya'll actually win any type of championship then ya'll might see how it feels! Funny we are the laughing stock that ya'll (always the bigger school) can't seem to beat! If HD is the laughing stock what does that make ya'll? Pile of garbage?!? Better stick to basketball or volleyball where ya'll have actually been somewhat successful!

I haven't seen anything for the bleachers either and I don't see them finishing them in a week. Where do they expect everyone to sit? Because they know this will probably be the biggest crowd of the season.

Bushpilot you seem a tad bit cocky to have gotten beat by this no good 1a last year, and just about every other year. Don't be cocky when history shows that hardin's "greatest" teams still haven't faired to well against HD...show some respect to this lil 1A school that seems to be ya'lls daddys!

Let's take a look at this year's preseason schedule, HD: @ Hardin, tenaha, @ kountze....WH: @ warren, @ bridge city JV, new waverly....I would have to say that HD has the tougher schedule.

Last few years? They've been doing it since '02-'03 I know for sure, in '03 they scheduled all weak 1a schools (when they were 2a) and jv teams, so they could come into district undefeated, they were undefeated until they came to our house and we shut them down! All I am saying is schedule an actual varsity, even if it is a weak school since that's what ya'll schedule but at least it will be a varsity....

I wanna disagree with that, WH is known for scheduling jv teams, this game is to replace another jv team. They've always scheduled smaller schools and jv's when they were 2a too

All I am saying is that you are a varsity team playing a jv team, if you win no big deal because it's a jv and should be expected! But if you lose then you'll never hear the end of it, varsity should play other varsitys!

Huckabay played SS for us (HD) last season, he also pitched. Seems to have a strong arm and can hit a baseball a long way! Offensive MVP of the district last year.

Here in H-D we didn't care for Evans too much! Always seemed to get the best of us, but he seemed like a great coach and good friend of Darryl barbay when they were district foes

Maybe those ice baths after lifting and a long practice, sit in there for right at 5 minutes once trying to break a "record". After a minute you're numb anyways, but I was shivering walking out of the fieldhouse in 100 heat, and shivered til the next practice, could not have been good lol

I think more schools should do that! It sounds like a really good way to start the season....I sure wish we would've done something like that for first day of full pads! Enjoy

I'd be embarrassed to play a sophomore team! You don't gain anything from it, if you lose then you will never hear the end of it and if they win no big deal because a varsity team should beat a sophomore team! That's sad but WH is infamous for scheduling a WEAK preseason. They love coming into district undefeated
