Game plan or not, if your running back is getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage and you are throwing the ball well then you aren't going to run as much. But as far as the coaches coming into the game saying Mitch isn't going to run the ball 25 times I'm not buying it, if he would have busted a few long runs then they would have kept feeding him the rock. It was a good coaching adjustment to throw the ball more against our small secondary. Ya'll won so please don't come on her making excuses for Mitch because we shut him down

11 rushes for 61 yards...HD didn't let him go anywhere except one rush late in the game that accounted for 30 of the 61 yards. Hardin's offense seemed pretty balanced though. Think they will have a good season.

His brother just told me that Tim broke his fibula, tore all the ligaments in his ankle, and pulled his rotator cup out of place, and will have surgery Tuesday. He also said it was from a horse collar tackle. I know it was not intentional I am just answering my own question from earlier

I was just informed that #9 Tim Taylor for HD has a broken femer and is in a cast, said he will have to have surgery and miss the whole season....that sucks for him and the team because he would have had a big season. Does anyone know if he was "horse collared" on the tackle or what exactly happened cuz from my corner of the endzone I couldn't tell

Sounds like liberty needs to work on their special teams or bride city has a good return team, either way 13 points off of returns is unacceptable!

Congrats to Hardin! Their offense is full of weapons, miles is a good qb and he has plenty of weapons at wr. I knew our secondary would have a tough time brings we were way undersized, but I don't see our db's being that much slower that the wr's just poor techniques. As far as Mitch, he rushed like 15 times for 50 yards and 40 of that was on one rush, I think we done a good job at shutting him down. Our offensive gameplan didn't make much sense to me, all the 1 yard passes that never went anywhere. Either our offense needs some work or hardin's d was stout it was kinda hard to tell sitting in the corner of the endzone. HD's D looked decent, 3 td's were turnovers inside our own 10 giving Hardin the ball in great field position. All in all I say Hardin should have a great year with all their weapons. Good luck the rest of the year, and congrats on wiNning the game for ya'lls fallen teammate, I'm sure he was watching and cheering ya'll on, I'm sure ya'll made him proud.

One thing that scares me is HD's secondary being undersized. I know they will have the will and heart, I just hope the jump balls don't kill them. I was told Hardin rented some portable stands for Friday's game, any truth to that?

It's always the HD idiots!....I think it's been 2 sided, all I keep hearing is Hardin is going to blow the cats out the water. I heard the same thing about Hardin looking weak against Kelly and HJ...guess we'll all see what happens Friday night out of the same stands, good luck to both teams!

Indeed we have OldSkool but people on these boards don't like to bring up our history because it is the past (or maybe because of the success we have had) and to focus on the present....even though last year is as close to the present as we can get as far as games that have been played between the 2, and HD won that! So.....

Aaron was a good running back but he did do all that against a weak district. I watched villemez run against buna and the kid can run the ball. Not saying Aaron couldn't have ran against the 2a district Hardin was in, but evadale was the only team to have a decent defense and they shut him down. Cook rushed for a ton of yards against the teams he faced, but so did villemez. They are both good backs.
