The Dawg D will now get to show the entire state just how special they really are on the biggest stage in high school football. You people may not know but they start 9 juniors. Three D line, all three linebackers, one cornerback, and one safety are coming back. Add in D lineman number 80 a sophomore that has played in every game. This defense will be talked about for a very long time.

Total domination by the Dawg D. wimberley had minus 17 yards rushing and 119 yards passing for the game. 4 first downs. That is just unheard of in a semifinal game.

If he told the truth, they would rather not face the Dawgs again. I have a feeling it will be worse. The Dawgs are now in playoff mode and will better next week and in championship mode the week after. I would not want to face that defense for all the marbles.

No one has scored 20 on the Dawgs this year, even when the starters are pulled in the third quarter. I don’t see China Spring scoring 20 on this Dawg defense. The Dawg D is just that good and we may being getter CB/wide receiver back this week. He has been out seven weeks.

This may help. Salado beat China Spring 28 to 14 in district play. Salado averaged 373 yards and 45 points a game. The Dawgs held Salado to 17 total yards and zero points in the first half. The Dawgs put up 28 points and 257 yards in the first half. The Dawgs let off the gas in the second half. Salado scored 7 points on a fake punt against the special teams unit of the Dawgs. The Dawg starting defense has not a point since the second week of October. They are allowing 6.6 points a game.

They are a run offense with an athletic QB. The problem for them is a Dawg defense that only allows 6.7 points a game. So far no team has run on the Dawgs. Salado averaged 373 yards rushing a game. They were held to 17 yards in the first half against the Dawgs. The only way a team can beat the Dawgs is run and pass equally well. The Dawg defense is just as good against pass as they are the run. China Spring has a pretty good defense, not sure if they have seen an offense that can run and pass like the Dawgs. The Dawg O line are big, very strong, and very quick off the ball. wide receivers are all very fast, great hands, and very well coached. RB Courtney is the heart of this team. He has great vision and cuts on a dime, and never goes down on first contact. He is a great receiver out of the backfield. This is a very balanced offense that can attack any weakness a defense has. Coach Surratt and Preston and the Dawg staff are very hard to beat. The Dawgs are 69 and one since 2016.

You are right and go to Kgas radio website and pull up the game. I would not do it if you are from Silsbee though. The Dawg O line dominated PG all night long. Just like they have on every team so far.

The Dawg O line is the best in 4A and they stopped 4 D1 linemen of Pleasant Grove with no problem. I have a feeling they will do just fine against 63 and 73.

Jasper scored 10 points on the Dawg starters, they scored the final 8 with seconds left in the game against the Dawg back ups. The Dawg D has 19 interceptions and 8 fumble recoveries in 8 games. This will be a good game, Silsbee always have athletes. The Dawg O linemen are big, strong, quick off the ball and very well coached. My opinion the best in all of 4A. Horton at QB is 6’ 5 and 225 pounds with a big arm and this year is really running the ball well when he has had to. Big time tight end and 4 outstanding receivers that can fly. Running back number 2 is the heart of the offense, he will run over and through tacklers, and great pass catcher. Dawgs have One of the best blocking Fullbacks you will see. I have not seen WOS defense, but the Dawg D is the fastest we have had at Carthage. Linebackers 5 and 6 run side line to side line and make bone jarring tackles. The D line are super fast off the ball and have been in the back field on every team they have faced. The secondary have 19 interceptions and they are exceptional at tackling.
