  1. Well not really. The PG wasn’t there and he was solid. Also I’m pretty sure they graduated another big kid but maybe I’m mistaken. 10 or 11, maybe both. I’m just here to tell you now after watching both games, last year‘s and this years, both of those teams look dramatically different.
  2. Yes but both teams were much better last year.
  3. Diboll up 42-39 end of 3rd
  4. Diboll 33 - Tarkington 29
  5. CE King 60- Dobie 46 I got that upset alert right…
  6. No, I’m pretty sure I’m remembering correctly. #2 was very good and near the end he was certainly carrying the team. But right before that kid walked off after the timeout was called, he had some good plays. I remember him pretty well, he was an athletic kid. Very quick. I remember the person beside me pointing out how quick he was earlier in the game.
  7. Hmm, I don’t know man. That kid was crazy athletic and there was time when everyone else was in foul trouble that he was their only offense that night in Dayton. I was shocked when he walked off the court. I get where your coming from based on chemistry but I find it hard to be better collectively when your less athletic as a team.
  8. Don’t want to start anything, just wondering if the kid that walked off in Dayton played tonight?
  9. My understanding is winner plays Tarkington in Livingston on Friday night
  10. Tarkington wins 46-42
  11. Oh wow, I knew last year's HJ situation wasn't due to injury (I was at Dayton for that one) but I did not know that this year's situation wasn't either. I certainly don't want to dive into that topic either. I will adjust my statement then. It's a shame that injuries and "other" factors have to play a part. ALWAYS want to see the best of each team line it up.
  12. That's a good one. They do seem to matchup well with HJ. It's a shame that injuries have to play a part. Always want to see the best of each team line it up. That being said, it's rare that HJ doesn't show up prepared to play no matter who is available. I'm thinking CE King over Dobie. That's totally from the outside looking in as I've not had the chance to watch either of them play this year. Just going based off of the district's each are coming from.
  13. I look at a lot of these games and I see so many mismatches when it comes to this round. I think it's the downfall of letting four teams in. But I get it for the kids, it's always a great experience to go to the playoffs and a chance to maybe upset a team. I love high school basketball but don't always get a chance to follow all the districts. Just thought this might be a fun topic and a chance to learn about a #4 team that has a chance to move on.
  14. In a district that already struggles with new hires, this puts the AD even further behind by not letting him get in and start working with the kids and scheduling games.
  15. Per local residents he is 15 and should be in the 9th grade. If that's the case and he was a 15 year old playing against 8th graders, I'd hope he would stand out some. This has to be a hardcore Hardin fan or coach right here with this statement.....
  16. Unfortunately it’s the typical small school issues. talent comes in waves good coaches are just using it as a stepping stone for some reason, a majority of the parents and kids out here think that just showing up for mandatory practices and workouts are enough to make your program successful.
  17. Throw Tarkington back into the ring again. AD has resigned.
  18. Absolutely they are not. I'm not sure if the person who said they were actually saw both teams play in person but my guess is he is strictly making that observation off of records or scores/wins vs what he considers comparable opponents to last year. Last years team started 4 seniors and made a run into the second round where had Dibol not of broken one of their shooter's arms during the second quarter on a loose ball by absolutely running him over they may have moved on to the 3rd round. That was I believe only the 3rd time ever that they made it that deep for Tarkington. That being said beating Lumberton is always a good thing and I sure wish their coach could have been there to lose his mind for it.
  19. Tarkington 71 Corrigan 45/F
  20. Last night Horns were down by double digits twice and came back to win. They lost 4 starting seniors from last year but Coach Sizemore has them playing hard. Great job Horns!
  21. Tarkington defeats Dayton 53-50
  22. I was videoing, I tried to post it but it’s too big. I will see if I can cut it to put it on here. Some Summer Creek fans and I watched it again and all that watched it agreed it was still in his hand when the light came on. I don’t have a bias, just glad I was there to watch a fantastic game. Coming from 3A basketball that was as physical of a game I’ve watched in high school. There was complaining from both sides but in honesty the refs were just letting them play unless blood was drawn so to speak.
  23. 51-50 creek 13 seconds left
