  1. unless you know something I don't know, below is what it looks like Shepherd vs Hitchcock Tarkington vs Van Vleck New Waverly vs East Bernard Crockett vs Brazos
  2. You are in a rebuilding phase. He would fit in really well with next years group. I mean if he’s leaving either way, I’m just saying…haha
  3. On top of all that, I wouldn’t be shocked if your one solid athlete didn’t find somewhere else to showcase his talent. If he needs help finding housing, I’d be more than happy to help him find his way to the prairie…😁😁
  4. Forgot the score, but Tarkington takes the win Vs Shepherd. Will report back shorty
  5. I can tell you this, it isn't stemming from anything that happened IN the last game. From my understanding though it is stemming from the locker room speech AFTER the game. The official word was that he was losing to teams that Coldspring has no business losing to. However, he doesn't have much to work with there and on top of that his second best player failed. I'm guessing the last coach left because he saw the writing on the wall with the younger groups coming up.
  6. Any clue what happened?
  7. Closer than I thought it would be. This district honestly looks like a toss up at this point. Some interesting wins and losses throughout preseason. The Horns looked better last night than they probably have all year. They got off to a decent start and played well against a pretty decent opponent.
  8. Tarkington 73 Kirbyville 29
  9. Any idea what the Kirbyville Vs Evadale score was?

  12. No hurt feelings here. My comments are strictly regarding their chances to even make the playoffs. Deep runs and such aren't really relevant here because you're comments are focused on the top couple teams of the district. It's not common that 3 or 4 teams from any district are typically advancing past the first round. Last year's results are a prime example, two teams from each district advanced one round. So to revisit my comments, I believe that when you go to the 4th and 5th teams in particular in District 10, I feel that they are good teams making it even harder for them to try and get into the playoffs with such a young team.
  13. I think they lose at least one. Somebody else in an earlier post said they think this district is weak. I tend to disagree, I don't think they have that one dominant team that is going to make a deep run but I feel it has a core group of good teams. I don't think anyone comes out of it unscathed. If you want to go into specifics, I think Buna catches them at home in a trap game where Buna has a bye to get healthy and prepared and Anahuac is coming off a close game at home against East Chambers.
  14. Absolutely but loving it for these kids considering where we were this time last year. At this point last season I wasn't sure that Tarkington would still have a football program by the end of the year(obvious exaggeration but it was as dismal as it could get).
