We played both teams so I've had a good look at both teams and honestly I don't see any scenario where this is close. Lumberton is WAY better. Needville's strength is running the ball and they do have a good offensive line, but running against Lumberton is not gonna be easy. Needville's defense won't be able to contain Lumberton. Give me Lumberton 42-14 ish

Probably....they have 8 SRs and 3 JRs on both sides of the ball. We have 1 on offense on 3 on defense. 7 sophomores will be on the field at all times. You play the hand your dealt.

I disagree that the wheels are going to fall off and that its going to get worse as the season goes on. It's all relative of course, but the district games while tough for sure aren't as tough as their non-district games. They have a lot of talent, young for sure, but very talented. I'm choosing to believe they can put it together on the field. We shall see.

Yeah they went 8-0 last weekend alone winning a tournament that included Tarkington, Buna, Hardin and Hardin Jefferson to name a few.

Yes. Not sure why Maxpreps has them at 6-7. They have won more games than that for sure. The string of losses they had early in the season was against 5A and 6A teams in a really tough tournament. They swept Nederland who is ranked on that list. If they were considered part of that area they are definitely one of the better teams.

Is Huffman not considered part of this area?

Nope completely accurate. I could write a novel about HOW it's accurate. There is no story to come out to justify your perspective. The truth was on display for everyone in the gym to watch. An out of control kid throwing 12 unprovoked punches at an innocent opponent. Why wasn't it broken up sooner you ask? Well because the on duty cops were in the parking lot dealing with the another player's dad who's been a cancer to the team after he got into an altercation with one the coaches at halftime. The whole thing has been a huge embarrassment to Huffman.

Not too sure about the hangover part. Honestly these teams are pretty evenly matched and throw Hamshire Fannett in there as well. None of these teams have established themselves as truly dominant and I can't see anyone making it to the 3rd round. HJ is a little better than the rest, but nothing like they have been in the past.

The back story is two players parents have made it miserable for the entire squad and ruined what should have been another run to the 3rd or 4th round.
