I think everyone needs to CHILL OUT on WOS... When teams lose, their is always someone that wants to cry foul or complain. It is football. The only time that I think it is unsportsman like, is a team that is ahead calls time-outs to try and score. Other than that runs plays, people need to stop being so sensitive.

This crap here reinforces my belief in that my son will never play for another coach but DL as long as hes in youth football, he dont put up with any crap and will yank a player in a heartbeat, and these kids will do anything he saysevery kid after our game saturday wanted a picture with coach and just about everyone of the kids either shook his hand or hugged him You know the STJFL has a draft policy, so you are saying if you son is not drafted by DL he is not playing?

Well said BigD. Hey its football, some folks dont understand what is going on behind the scenes. There would be a problem if you used all your timeouts to throw 3 passes... but you did not, you took a shot, game over. WOS is class, great compitetion. Makes the entire league better.

I think WOS follows the rules, but I disgree with you, I think if others dont follow the rules they would be turned in. There have been rumors for years about Lumberton, BC, Nederland & PNG. I would not take it personal ESP, people just know the truth and like flapping their gums! Keep up the good work WOS.

I agree TxDragon. I know in the summer I see news clips of LL baseball All stars all the time. I guess footbal does not interest our media and I dont understand why... SE Texas is all about footbal. BTW, also saw some media coverage on little dribblers last year. Whar does it take to get some coverage for youth football????? That may make a good post. ???

A weekend reporter was out there and just so happen to when BC and Lumberton played. KFDM was told that that they should go to Bulldog stadium and do atory on the boys playing football and was given a schedule for those game. They chose to go the pw game... sad.

I will go step further Hawk, this is the first round for the STJFL, double all the games. 4 pee-wee games, 4 Jr games, 4 Sr games. Fortunatley it is in the town, so the ticket is good for all games. 1 ticket for $3 good bargin to good young athletes. So refs will cost approximatley $2000. I hope the league has good attendance, will take about 600 adult fans to pay the refs, not including all the other stuff that is purchased forthe players. I was told every player gets an STJFL playoff medal win or lose. I would think that is worth 3 or 4 dollars.

Maybe Copper will see this and they will sned a crew out tomorrow and the Superbowl. I would expect him to show video clips of the kids playing hard and having fun. Thats why we have youth sports. A few bad apples can spoil it for the youth players. I hope cooper will give them something positive. WOS vs Bridge City plays each other at 1pm. Lumberton and Little Cypress play next, then Nederland and Orangefield, last Nederland and Lumberton. Show some positive things cooper!

You are right piratefan. I volunteered before and it is a very long day. I was told that the Sr games a Bulldog stadium that they will have the scoreboard on with instant replay. The kids will love that as well as the fans. Good luck to all and bundle up... dont forget your gate fee, the kids will have a nice parting gift for it.

We have played in this league before and others. They charge for the event to cover a lot of cost. Every players win or lose gets a medal $$, super bowl champs get very nice trophies $$, the STJFL has to pay for referees and also they hire score board operators sto make sure it is not kids. I have a family member that still plays, he trold me that the ticket you purchase at the one field that day is good for any fiels so you only pay once for all the games no matter the location. It cost the league 4 or 5 thousand dollars to do the playoffs
