  1. Why are you posting someones name are even attempt too? Did the medie reveal the names of Lumberton and the others? Soundfs like you are just trying to stir the pot... idiot!
  2. Hey thetragichippy, it appears you get your news from this forum which is very sad. So here is a news flash, the investigation is ongoing and the news report said suspensions for both organizations were handed out. You choose to be selective on what you want to believe just like 99% folks commenting on this. To all others that are trying to make things worse by trashing the good people of BC & Lumberton, stop throwing around a bunch of rumors.
  3. Can we get back to talking about the games and not about all the non-sense!
  4. RUZY09 -why make those comments???? Let it go, the kids need a place to play that it is about football and fun! This is not about revenge or grown ups. Get over it.
  5. Just filp a coin! What else can you do. there is an issue with all scenarios. Some one here propose one the all leagues to use. what if?????? 2 teams tied, 3 teams tied, division ties, wild card ties, seeding on out of divisions, lets hear it.
  6. I heard that there were multipe suspensions for both Lumberton and BC, any truth to that?
  7. If there is video it must be reviewed to make the appopriate decisions. I am sure the STJFL will take right course of action. Just a reminder have punishment fit the crime.
  8. Not STJFL, it is for BC and Lumberton.
  9. From what I understand, all games counted that were played. What difference does it make? The games were non-conference games. The top 2 teams in each division go, with 2 wild cards.
  10. See, herein lies the problem. Those that don't follow the program don't really know what his overall record is. They just assume that it is great since it's PNG and they hear about them each season, but take a look at teh real numbers. Overall 94-65 (0.591) with 6 playoff appearences. Not bad, not great either. The 0.591 winning percentage ranks him 11th on the all time PNG list for coaches. Theres been 18 HC's at PNG. But what has happened lately. Without the D. Long three years the record is: 64-58 (0.525) In the past 9 years since the state title game run: 52-40 (0.565) But that includes just three (3) winning seasons and three (3) playoff appearences (1 in the last four years). The numbers speak for themselves. Not as GREAT as everyone thinks are they! To put that into perspective, Neuman over that same period is: 119-52 (0.696) with 12 playoff appearences. Matt is a great person and good coach, but if he can't see that he needs help on the offensive side of the ball then maybe he should be replaced. I would love to see him stay and focus on defense and hire an established, imaginative OC. Just don't have any reason to believe it will happen. seems the numbers are different ??? Last ten years 1998 9-2 Bi-District 1999 14-2 State Finals 2000 5-5 2001 3-6 2002 5-5 2003 10-2 Area 2004 8-4 Area 2005 5-3 2006 5-5 2007 8-4 Regional 2008 3-6 Total 75-44 I was a little off on the losses, but is still a decent record for the past 10 years, not great, but decent. Notice how the years are bunched up for playoffs. Do you think that it might be the rotation of a mixture of players coming through and then a not so good crop of players. Just my honest opinion based on keeping up with HS football across the state for a long time. So ... what I'm hearing is that PNG isn't beating Ned as often as they think they should, so they need to get rid of a coach that's been there umpteen years. Do you all truly believe that playoffs should be in your year every year? Do you truly feel that you simply can't get through life without a completely dominant team? I think your coach and your kids work hard every year. I think your turn will come again. All this whining about PNG in years past and it's not that way now ... that's the past...and it may well be that way again, but this sense of entitlement has gotta go.
  11. ask Newton, WO-S or Nederland fans if they expect to make the playoffs every year and see what the answer is. PNG not making the playoffs in 20-4A when 4 teams get in is unacceptable. Call it what you want but its a reality. That's not my quote, I agree with you. Someone from Lumberton posted that, I responded that Mid County teams expect to make the playoffs as they should.
  12. Congrats to a great person... good luck
  13. I did forget one other, Jamal Charles. I think some people are posting on players that ended up in pros or college standouts. I think if posters will think about it is about that player on Friday might only. All for of my choices were players that sperated everyone else on the field.
  14. Todd Dodge QB - TJ Duhon WR - TJ Ron McGill RB - PNG

Raider 81, obviously you do not understand "tradition". Playoffs should be everyones goal, espeacially the mid county teams. It not dominating, its about competing at a high level. If you stop doing that, than its time for change.
  16. This is not brain surgery. Stop the big play! There have been many time Nederland's defense looked like they were going to hold and then a big play. Limit the big play and Nederland wins
  17. "Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. Guess who?
  18. I have seen most of the teams play and I agree kf'89. But the top 4 teams are very good and should make for a great tournament. Also believe you can throw out all the stats, they dont realy matter, the W is what matters. ;D
  19. I think he is talking about drafting of teams. The league has drafing rules. Some poster seem to think they did not follow the rules as written.
  20. My point is it does not matter. You are in the playoffs, enjoy it. If you look back 20-4A over the last 10 years, I bet you would find that half of those years there were co-champs. Ifs, ands, & buts and our oppinions does not change what it is.
  21. I understand Lumberton is not used to winning much less sharing a title, so in yawls mind, call yourself champs. Who cares! Everyone know in HS football that if your record is tied you are co-champs. I would worry about the playoffs and hope this is just not a period of LUCK.
  22. WOW! This thread is wild. I can't believe youth football parents, coaches and leaders slam each other like this. Out of the LS league there is probably over 1000 folks involved and just a few gets everybody wound up. I think everyone should stick to youth football on the field. Some of the folks here think they are experts and really just a simple person. Also, there are a lot defensive people on this thread which leads me to believe that somethnig smells.
  23. If you look back at he history of the playoffs, you can be in the same division and still not play each other until the superbowl, it is all about what seed you are. So it really does not matter. Lumberton plays each other every year. opposite division but can be in the same playoff bracket, I think Nederland is in the same boat.
  24. I guess yall are understanding my point. If there was not a hurricane that delayed league play, this would be a playoff round not a WOS lil mustang home week. So I am not sure why you think the scheduler is to blame? The schedule got pushed back due the hurricane. thats what I am saying, am I wrong?
  25. What I am syaing the playoffs would have started last or this week correct, so there would have been no home schedule for anyone.
