Some local talent playing on big stages last night. Ayden Sunday(Nederland) gets his first collegiate hit for Lamar as well as Ethan Ocegurea(Bridge City) gets a little time out of the bullpen. Lamar falls to Texas A&M 25-5. Brady Corcoran(Nederland) gets the SAVE for McNeese State as they beat #1/#2 LSU 7-6 in Alex Box Stadium.

This will attract some major candidates I’d say. Good district and always has a good ball club.

Looks like Sac State will head to FBS also. They will join the MAC as a football only school. Lots of travel for them.

Also to add. NDSU will play a full mountain west schedule, but will not be able to participate in conference championship, bowl games, or CFB until 2028.

Bisons are heading to the Mountain West in 2026 for football only. I think this is an awesome move for the Bison. They should start competing for the MW title immediately.

PNG should run the region year and year out.

Look for Orangefield to be a regional threat. A lot of guys back. Nederland will be good. PNG will be a good sleeper coaching is there let’s see if how they are.

Bridge City is dealing with a whole different monster. This one will not be close.
