Anahuac (20) @ Orangefield (32) - FINAL
Separation Scientist replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
Beat me to it. They were so bad I forgot Kirbyville was even in this district but they must have fixed whatever was wrong? -
That Hyatt Regency is brand spankin' new. Top notch! We have watched it being built the past ~2 years. I want to actually go in and check it out and eat there soon. I did drive through the front driveway entrance area just before it opened and it looked really nice. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]

Right on. We need some rest and healing badly!!

I know Chambers Co. pretty good. Look up the composition of the elementary school there. Your jaw might drop. But if you think that's all false, its perfectly fine with me. Don't care.

O'Neals has been there for about 5 years, I think. They have had a place on old 146 in central Baytown forever, but now expanded to the north landing of the Hartman bridge. I don't think O'Neal's is going anywhere. They seem always busy. [Hidden Content]

If so, I am surprised they just dropped out of the Rice Bowl. Seems they would want to play, correct? In any case I was talking medium to longer term. I have no idea who is coming up in the next 1-3 years for them. Winnie is changing, futbol will benefit. Zero doubt about that. On a related matter, Chambers Co. just voted to build a massive jail and Justice Center (Courts) in Anahuac. Look for Anahuac's population to further accelerate.

Not trying to challenge that but T-Bone Toms was a big disappointment last time I went. Way too expensive and a dry, small steak. Mrs. Scientist asked me to not take her there again. I would suggest O'Neals on the Water. Great place and awesome views. Even live music sometimes. [Hidden Content]

Winnie is turning into a small version of Pasadena, or so it appears. Soccer likely will be excellent for them but if they can't bring in more Beaumont skill position players like they did a few years ago to elevate their program it is likely on a slow decline.

5AD1 District 8 and Region 2 discussion.
Separation Scientist replied to Cougtalk's topic in High School Football
BH's passing attack was off that night. I mean way off. -
Yeah, the comment was made for the viewing public. not aimed at you. Note I said "people".
-
BH will go 6A at some point. Rational people know that. Mont Belvieu has grown and will continue to grow. Its an attractive place and ISD. My guess is it won't go 6A during this cycle, but it will the next. The expert projections I see on line do not mention BH as a likely candidate to move up to 6A but of course anything is possible. I hope there is a 7A by 2026. If that happens, then BH might land in a good spot, but that's way off.
-
Do some research. That's a falsehood that people run with but its totally wrong.
-
Before I even clicked on this, I knew someone would be here taking a shot at BH. Right on schedule. Never fails. 24/7/365! BTW 1985, PAM has been FOOD for a lot of 1st round opponents the past 5-6 years.

Orangefield (42) @ Buna (22) - FINAL

Yeah it amazes me some want to throw rocks at LH when they are having a RARE off year. What they do is not for everyone thats for sure but LH has been very, very successful with it. 95% of teams in TX would be envious of LH's program and accomplishments. They owe no one an apology! -
I would think Absek might give the injured payers another week to heal up if they are not needed vs, GCM. At least I hope that's what he does. I would hate for any of them to have a re-injury at this point. We need to get people well as much as possible. JMO.

La Porte (35) @ Barbers Hill (28) - FINAL

False narrative. No one is making any excuses. No one is trying to "change any score". Take your win that LP rightfully earned and move on, hopefully with a bit of class. -

I bet you turned backflips in celebration 5 blocks down the street. I know Haters gonna hate, congrats. I hope your life is somewhat better now. I just hope that meaningless last second TD that triggered you so badly won't wreck whatever is left of your life. GEEZE. -
Kerrville tivy 34 liberty hill 28 final !!
Separation Scientist replied to lcm93's topic in High School Football
Yeah, LH has won State 2X and they been there some other times too. They usually make deep, deep runs regularly. I guess it is noteworthy if they are having a down year for a change. -

If its on TEXAS soil, and not literally on the non-existent international "border", Texas has the right. What about abortion, UT? How about a full Full ban in TX? States rights! -
Hardin (0) @ Anahuac (13) - FINAL
Separation Scientist replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
That's a shocker. Anahuac should have won by 30+. That and Kirbyville soundly beating EC? What's going on in this 3A district? -

Pretty much as described, LP played well and BH just didn't. I said earlier (and was accused of sandbagging) that BH was a walking MASH unit. It was true. BH has been able to get by so far playing weaker opponents but that was not the case last night. That, and the uncharacteristic passing game difficulties was too much to overcome. LP was fortunate to catch a wounded BH this week. At full strength, or close to it I believe BH would have won. That's not an excuse, just an honest observation. Injuries are just part of the game. You deal with it and overcome them but BH did not on this occasion. Next week the Eagles will get back in the win column. ln time BH will get some healthy starters back. BH did have a a bad night, but its time to put LP in the rear view mirror and get back to business. I believe they will. Go Eagles! -
District 17-5A Standings
Separation Scientist replied to Steven Avery's topic in High School Volleyball
I agree with 99. No offense to anyone but this district is WEAK outside of BH. Its great BH plays tough competition in pre district. -
Barbers Hill (49) @ Crosby (34) - FINAL
Separation Scientist replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
Its all good, there is no home cooking in FB, but if people want BH to live in their heads that's perfectly fine. LOL (I don't watch BB so I won't comment either way) -
FTLOTG, I understand your perspective but I also believe in "let the players decide it" whenever possible. A good ref in any sport will try to swallow the whistle "up to a point" when they can. Based on what I am reading here it really did seem inadvertent, unintentional, and had no impact on the play. Just my 2 cents.
