What exactly do you want of BH? You can critique and point out flaws on any HS team. Any, but you focus on BH. They, like anyone else, roll with what they have. They, like anyone else, are affected by injuries when they happen. They like most anyone else, have multi-sport athletes on the field Friday night. Its been well documented they did not have their best game two weeks ago. They are 5-1 and still in the discussion despite the adversity. I give great credit to Absek, staff and team for accomplishing that. I also believe things are about to get better. Go Eagles!

I discount the GCM game. So, we have to have a better passing game against Lee than we did against LP. If BH's passing struggles like it did against LP, it could be a difficult night. If not, things should go well. One thing I know is Lee won't quit. They remind me of the Terminator. Just when you think its dead, it comes back to life to fight again. Lee is going to play until the last second ticks off the clock, so BH will have to too.

At the halfway point the race is over. BH is now done with this district. BH needs to focus solely on the playoffs now.

I agree with all of you. I cannot stand someone overcalling the game, calling it while the play is in progress (...ITS A FAKE!!! Seriously??), and screaming into the microphone. PA guys are appreciated but just like game officials should professionally do their job but no more. Let the teams and coaches put on the show. Others should not insert themselves unnecessarily.

I agree simply condensing Baytown schools would not accomplish much for football. I think that beyond football, opening a third school sets Baytown up for its future growth. Having three schools does give Baytown students more opportunity for participation in all extracurricular activities.

O'Neals has been there for about 5 years, I think. They have had a place on old 146 in central Baytown forever, but now expanded to the north landing of the Hartman bridge. I don't think O'Neal's is going anywhere. They seem always busy. [Hidden Content]

On a related matter, Chambers Co. just voted to build a massive jail and Justice Center (Courts) in Anahuac. Look for Anahuac's population to further accelerate.

Winnie is turning into a small version of Pasadena, or so it appears. Soccer likely will be excellent for them but if they can't bring in more Beaumont skill position players like they did a few years ago to elevate their program it is likely on a slow decline.

BH will go 6A at some point. Rational people know that. Mont Belvieu has grown and will continue to grow. Its an attractive place and ISD. My guess is it won't go 6A during this cycle, but it will the next. The expert projections I see on line do not mention BH as a likely candidate to move up to 6A but of course anything is possible. I hope there is a 7A by 2026. If that happens, then BH might land in a good spot, but that's way off.

Yeah it amazes me some want to throw rocks at LH when they are having a RARE off year. What they do is not for everyone thats for sure but LH has been very, very successful with it. 95% of teams in TX would be envious of LH's program and accomplishments. They owe no one an apology!

I would think Absek might give the injured payers another week to heal up if they are not needed vs, GCM. At least I hope that's what he does. I would hate for any of them to have a re-injury at this point. We need to get people well as much as possible. JMO.

Yeah, LH has won State 2X and they been there some other times too. They usually make deep, deep runs regularly. I guess it is noteworthy if they are having a down year for a change.
