I agree the O is definitely ahead of the D, but as I alluded above the D effort was good. Just need to clean up some things.

Very decent first game, but still lots to work on and clean up. Effort was good, execution will develop. All in all a good workout. That's the purpose right now. Our next opponent Montgomery lost to New Caney by 35 last year, but this week they lost to NC by 1, so I expect an improved Montgomery will be another good team to work against.

Pretty much was never tested. Northbrook QB was running for his life most every play, so they never got many good passes away. The few he did throw were usually way off target.

Hoping for a good game and maybe a win but honestly winning the pre-district games does not mean that much to me. I'll take a loss as long as the team got some good work in, over a win where it really didn't. I know others see it differently.

Nail biter! Went into 9 innings vs. a very good Seattle team, 0-0 through 8, then TX pushed a run across. Seattle almost scored two to win it but the Needville SS made a phenomenal stop on a hard hit chopper up the middle, did a 360 and then fired a strike to first to get the final out. "Epic" is an overused term but this one is worthy of it.

Regarding their staff, it looks to be revamped for this season. I don't know any of their names but it appears about half the staff are new faces. Sterling looked sharp, even considering the opponent. It looks like progress has been made, so far.

The stomping and spitting was not just "dancing", it was ugly. It was a public embarrassment for Prieto, program, and school. The worst thing though was Prieto putting his hands on BH players last year. That should never happen under any circumstance.
