Some might remember I said two years ago that hyping the kid to the sky as a Freshman, saying he would start for North Shore as a Freshman, etc was entirely wrong! It placed a very unfair burden on a 14 year old by delusional adults, and honestly that included some immeadiate family. This current situation is evidence of exactly what I said. BTW some of these same adults have apparently dissapeared from this site. Go figure. -

You are 100% right. Thats 2 points they took away from BH. Thats one huge mistake the refs made that could have cost BH the game. -

I think the refs called a pretty good game, but they let too much Ball attitude go unchecked on the field. Balls #0 and #3 should have been ejected IMO. I was impressed BH largely did not respond to their provocations. Then there were the fans. Way too many Ball fans were purposly sitting on the vistors side. Before anyone gets excited, I don't have a problem with that in general. But some Ball students were there with the sole intention to taunt BH fans. Its wrong but stupid kids do stupid things like that. Worse than that though were the Ball adults stitting in the middle of the BH fanbase doing the exact same. Just looking for trouble. Why go there? Do we really need any of that? Is this a common thing Ball fans do or is this just targeting of BH? No BH fans were on Balls side. Don't start trouble! -

I vaguely remember something about a Columbus player, a lineman, dieing. Did they lose someone? I hope I am wrong. -
Yep. Bad behavior is rewarded in this world.

Hamshire Fannett kickin' butts and taking names. -
It would probably need 1) BH to have nearly a full line up 2) play their vrey best with no laspes, finish drives, and 3) Ball to not have their best game on that particular night. I expect Ball to win comfortably but an upset is not beyond the realm of possibility.

I remember HF as an average team in years past, but they got the thing rockin' right now. I thought it was sort of a fluke earlier but after trashing Silsbee and now Jasper I am starting to believe. If they beat WOS I will totally believe, -

I agree. I am not worried about 6A. Its WAY more important to some outsiders. BH, like anyone else will deal with whatever district it lands in when that time comes. By that time, the landscape will change some anyway. Will a 7A come and mix everything up? I don't know but thats possible. Half of the district is still left and then possibly playoffs. Then a whole another year is ahead. The focus is now. -
One thing I know is that EVERYBODY worries about all things BH. Outsiders worry about BHISD policies. Outsiders worry about whoever coaches BH. Outsiders worry about attaching some name to BH. Seems BH is in everyones head 24/7/365. Its just crazy, but thats quite a compliment to BH! We really matter to everyone!

If you don't have turf and a state-of-the-art Jumbotron and an indoor practice facility, then remember you "just don't care about the kids or the program".

They can't. They are paying Dak a quarter Billion Dollars. Dak is DeShawn Watson without the sexual assault charges. A quarter Billion dollar waste. -
This year went badly off track for BH on the opening drive of the 1st game. RB1 gone for the season, then later in that same game WR1 went down. (HATERS REJOICE!!!). Then it got worse from there. More injuries on offense, all the skill guys. Took all the speed off the field. So what can BH do at this point? BH can go out with whoever is left standing and play as hard as they can for the remainder of the season. That might get them 4th place. It is insane how injury prone BH has been the past two years. Lost most of our defense last year, and now our offense this year. I am the eternal optimist though. Maybe next year we have minimal injuries, and we do have a favorable schedule set up. Thats next year though. BH needs to dig in, man up and play as hard as they can with what they got as long as they can. If the team does that, thats all anyone can ask.

Greatest fears? I never, ever hear of anyone having a fear of anything here. I do know the BH fans want very much for BH to reach their full potential, but as for as having some "greatest fear", thats just something you as an outsider is making up. Its your hope much more than any BH fear. You fantasize about BH being in 6A-23 often. -

Seriously? What "UIL connections"? Please provide your source! I know everyone loves to critique BH, but do you really think BH manipulates the UIL? Come on man...LOL. -

BH has no killer instinct. One of our posters lamented this when we lost to Deer Park in OT. If a game is going down to the wire, or into overtime BH will likely lose. A few years ago we lost to A&M Consolidated in the final seconds of a 2nd round game. Lost to Richland after blowing them out in the first half of 2nd round last year. etc. This is what playing a finesse style game gets you. Now think of the best wins BH had. Physically rammed the ball right down #4 FBM's throat and shocked the world! Blasted PAM last year with blood in our eye, Hammered Forney and McKinney North, etc. It can be done when BH plays wide open, full intensity, physical football. If BH can rediscover that physical intensity, and let our big QB run ahead like a mad man instead of always looking for a hook slide well short of the stick, BH can reinvent themselves. I am NOT bashing the QB. He may be instructed to do all the hook slides, I don't know. I do know he is not a pure passer. He has a very stong arm but accuracy is a big issue. I also know he can plow ahead into a defense and make 2 yards almost every single time. Had that happened from the 2 at the end of the half, and again at the end of the game, I have no doubt BH wins. Don't overthink it, play to your strength! Come on BH, lets play Man-ball again! -

I get it. We played with an offense where I didn't even recognize the players. Except for the QB most all the skill guys are out. It is amazing how many injuries BH has had the past 2 years. Beyond crazy. So BH fumbles twice in first 90 seconds. Recovered both but killed the drive. Not a great start. BH is behind 13-3 but is gifted with the ball on the 2 right before half. One play to get a crucial score. No recievers available, no passing game working, so instead sending our big QB plowing ahead into the endzone...we pass for yet another incompletion. Fail. Our big QB had daylight to run into. He would have made it. A golden opportunity lost. Second half BH D plays well and O gets going with the O-line paving the way. BH claws back and has enough but limited time to make a winning drive at the end. First set, our QB runs right and could easily pick up 1st down, but decides to hook slide again way too early. He is one of the most physical players on the team but plays like he is a fragile item in bubble wrap. You cannot play like this especially in crunch time of a crunch game. If the idea is to keep him from taking any hits, what are we saving him for at this point? BH implodes at the 2 again as time expires to end the game. Another golden opportunity lost. Even with BH decimated with injuries, this game was entirely winnable. We are now 1-2 in district, 5th place, with Ball still ahead. Yes, some starters might come back, but probably thats too little too late. At best we are locked into 4th place with a bad path ahead. Might even lose to WB and miss playoffs. I dunno. The larger question is, can our QB ever play wide open and lay it all out to win? Clearly he is not the best passer, he is wildly inaccurate at times, so why not play directly to his strength? He could be a LOAD to bring down if he would just run wide open. If that would have happened tonight, we win.
