Barbers Hill (17) @ Port Arthur Memorial (20) - FINAL

Seriously? What "UIL connections"? Please provide your source! I know everyone loves to critique BH, but do you really think BH manipulates the UIL? Come on man...LOL. -
Barbers Hill (17) @ Port Arthur Memorial (20) - FINAL
Separation Scientist replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
BH has no killer instinct. One of our posters lamented this when we lost to Deer Park in OT. If a game is going down to the wire, or into overtime BH will likely lose. A few years ago we lost to A&M Consolidated in the final seconds of a 2nd round game. Lost to Richland after blowing them out in the first half of 2nd round last year. etc. This is what playing a finesse style game gets you. Now think of the best wins BH had. Physically rammed the ball right down #4 FBM's throat and shocked the world! Blasted PAM last year with blood in our eye, Hammered Forney and McKinney North, etc. It can be done when BH plays wide open, full intensity, physical football. If BH can rediscover that physical intensity, and let our big QB run ahead like a mad man instead of always looking for a hook slide well short of the stick, BH can reinvent themselves. I am NOT bashing the QB. He may be instructed to do all the hook slides, I don't know. I do know he is not a pure passer. He has a very stong arm but accuracy is a big issue. I also know he can plow ahead into a defense and make 2 yards almost every single time. Had that happened from the 2 at the end of the half, and again at the end of the game, I have no doubt BH wins. Don't overthink it, play to your strength! Come on BH, lets play Man-ball again! -

I get it. We played with an offense where I didn't even recognize the players. Except for the QB most all the skill guys are out. It is amazing how many injuries BH has had the past 2 years. Beyond crazy. So BH fumbles twice in first 90 seconds. Recovered both but killed the drive. Not a great start. BH is behind 13-3 but is gifted with the ball on the 2 right before half. One play to get a crucial score. No recievers available, no passing game working, so instead sending our big QB plowing ahead into the endzone...we pass for yet another incompletion. Fail. Our big QB had daylight to run into. He would have made it. A golden opportunity lost. Second half BH D plays well and O gets going with the O-line paving the way. BH claws back and has enough but limited time to make a winning drive at the end. First set, our QB runs right and could easily pick up 1st down, but decides to hook slide again way too early. He is one of the most physical players on the team but plays like he is a fragile item in bubble wrap. You cannot play like this especially in crunch time of a crunch game. If the idea is to keep him from taking any hits, what are we saving him for at this point? BH implodes at the 2 again as time expires to end the game. Another golden opportunity lost. Even with BH decimated with injuries, this game was entirely winnable. We are now 1-2 in district, 5th place, with Ball still ahead. Yes, some starters might come back, but probably thats too little too late. At best we are locked into 4th place with a bad path ahead. Might even lose to WB and miss playoffs. I dunno. The larger question is, can our QB ever play wide open and lay it all out to win? Clearly he is not the best passer, he is wildly inaccurate at times, so why not play directly to his strength? He could be a LOAD to bring down if he would just run wide open. If that would have happened tonight, we win. -
I loosely follow Anahuac. I am kind of amazed the wheels fell off. Are they that bad, or was it just one real bad night? At this rate they might be 4th place.

I don't believe the Willis team should be suspended at all. The Willis "team" didn't do this. A certain small group of players did. They should be punished. They should be suspended. The coaching staff should be officially warned. Zero tolerance going forward.
-
Maybe you can't comprehend it, but the courts saw through the racist activists that stirred up all the trouble. They targeted a specific ISD and sued about an ISD policy that is applied evenly across the board to EVERONE and the courts completely rejected it. When policy is evenly applied to EVERYONE, there is no bias, regardless what you are determined to think. The truth came out. Sorry it lives in your head 24/7. As for the Willis incident, would you see any racial component if Kingwood or Friendswood did that to PAM? Lets see if you will tell the truth.
-
What do think would happen if for example, Kingwood or Friendswood would have done the exact same thing to BU? Could they possibly say that wasn't the "motivation"? That wouldn't fly for a second. I don't care what the "motivation" is, the optics would be horrifying. Kingwood or Friendswood would have their programs suspended and social media would erupt about racism. National media would rush in. Lets be real.
-
Reverse the races and some are not just permanently off the team, but facing federal hate crimes. It would be on CNN 24/7. 100%.

He returned kicks vs Sterling too. He can take it to the house.
-
I saw Ball in person vs. Sterling. If someone slows their 5* guy down, they are a pretty average team. No disrespect intended, thats just the way I see it. PAM by 11. Disclaimer: I have not seen PAM yet this year.

Baytown Sterling at Barbers Hill
Separation Scientist replied to therandomsportsfan's topic in High School Football
First and foremost, it will great to play a team and fanbase this week that has some CLASS. Sterling is a fine school with a great fanbase. There is never an issue with Sterling. Sterling will play hard, they always do, but BH will bounce back and get the win. -
Its not "you two". I never did. Lufkin fans started the racisim allegations before the game, and remember you even warned them to keep it to football. They didn't. They wanted to stir trouble up. Now, this morning, he a) called me out unprovolked, and b) he is violating SETX forum rules by attacking BH players with unfounded bogus accusations.
-
Not sad, Mr. Racist, I didn't really expect BH to win. Lufkin was the solid favorite. BTW, I am very glad to "have" Mont Belvieu. Its a great, safe place to live with absolutely excellent schools. Its a "destination" ISD. I love it here!
-
All I had to do is look at your Lufkin forum, you are correct, several people in Lufkin are racist just like you. Since you asked, when I saw your team last night, what struck me is that at a glance, BH's team has more diversity than the Lufkin team. Let me repeat that, BH's team has more diversity than the Lufkin team. Its clear to me you are a racist that just wanted to start a non-football argument about something. Its just that simple. Also, just as simple, Lufkin had the better football team. There, what does that prove? It only proves "Lufkin had the better football team" last night. You should put aside your racism and worry more about your impoverished crime ridden city of Lufkin. Things are going great in Mont Belvieu, TX. Meanwhile, Lufkin has more problems than anyone can count. Lufkin TX has more crime than 95% of other cities in the USA. [Hidden Content] a crime rate of,to the very largest cities. But your footbal team is better, LOL, congrats!
-
Yes, there is an idiot in every village. I am sure that the vast majority of people in Lufkin are far better than him. I hope so anyway.
-
I don't worry about anything. The ones that take cheap shots to stir up a specific type of trouble are the ones with the big problem. Not me. I don't do this.
-
Thanks. My thoughts exactly. The cheap shots at BHISD need to stop once and for all.
-
Its also the courts opinion. All the lawsuits that the activists threw at our ISD have been totally and finally dismissed. No surprise at all. The whole thing was a smear campaine that failed. The courts saw all rules are administered to all students across the board regardless. It was a huge waste of everyones time and expense. It really is time to move on. Unjustly smearing any ISD is wrong.
