  1. I don't know why you say that. You really think I just made that up? A fairytell? Seriously? No one is pointing at your grandparents. What I am doing is contrasting the privileged poor of today that gang bangs and commits the vast majority of crimes then uses "poverty" as an excuse, to the preceding generations that were FAR poorer than the poor of today, but were solid, law abiding citizens. The world has changed. Fathers are mostly absent and the welfare generation is running wild. Over the past year many cities have became war zones. Its not mostly isolated to Chicago, NY, and LA anymore. Sad days for whats left of America.
  2. Both sets of my grandparents came from Louisiana to Beaumont a century ago. My Dads dad was gassed by the Germans in WWI. He barely survived, but his lungs were severely burnt up, and could not do much more that get out of a chair to walk across the room. He had 8 kids and never worked again. Moms dad suffered from heart failure and repetitive hernias. He tried to run a filling station, but never made much money at all. Mom was one of 5 kids. Both my parents were "depression era" kids, and survived by planting gardens, making their own cloths, and eschewing real medical care. The babies were born at home, not in hospitals. I grew up in a tiny home without air conditioning. Dad worked hard, but it took time to build things up because him and Mom had to start from literally nothing. My grandparents were beyond poor. They nearly starved during the depression. However, they, and my parents, were devout Christians who never, ever even thought about using poverty as an excuse for committing killings, drug abuse and other crimes like the "poor" do today. I fully reject "poverty" as an excuse for crime. The breakdown of the nuclear family and the associated immorality lifestyles are to blame.
  3. Ah, its not so bad. Rumors and speculation (within reason) drive interest in this forum.
  4. Before the election, teary eyed Dims were ranting on air telling our state controlled media that EVERY SINGLE Covid case and death "was Trumps fault". Now, Biden has let in about ~2 million illegal immigrants, about 300,000 came in sick and spreading Covid, and the state media won't blame Biden for anything, although there are now more Covid deaths under Biden than Trump.
  5. Wife was flipping channels. We saw about 90 seconds of it. Biden said 1) He has never attacked ANY Republican, and then 2) We are united as a nation. I looked at my mostly non-political wife, she rolled her eyes and said "What a clown show" and flipped over to HGTV.
  6. Career animal criminal Shawn Laval Smith has killed 24 year old Brianna Kupfer [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] SAY HER NAME, BLM, NAACP, ANTIFA.
  7. Galveston is dangerous to live in.
  8. It will be amazing when God sorts out who the real racists are one day.
  9. Pull it up and watch the game. BH played real sloppy in the first half, unnecessarily gave away 5 points in the final 5 seconds at the end of the first half. BH came out and played better, more efficient ball in the 2nd half. BU seemed to rely on one player way too much, I know that happens, but she just did not get much help from her teammates. That's what happened. Pull it up and watch the game.
  10. Sounds like you know the scoop. Spill the beans! LOL
  11. I Now, why don't you explain this: Biden says "school parents" = domestics terrorists, Antifa = not terrorists. Pure evil.
  12. I never thought Trump was the best. I would have voted for 10+ others before him. He did pick a Christian conservative, Mike Pence as VP. With all Trumps faults that spoke volumes to me. Now, do you even remember the alternative? Hillary "THE CRIMINAL" Clinton. Trump and his baggage ANY DAY of the week over that. Nothing more needs to be said.
  13. Evil is destroying this nation. Anyone can see it now.
  14. I don't know him, and I don't have a dog in the hunt, but after reading through all this there seems to be a distinct familiarity bias at work here. What WOS, and all others in this situation should do is ask themselves "If this candidate was a total outsider, and not a homer or somebody with connections, would we still hire him?" Maybe this guy is the best out there, I have no idea, but I would think it through. If he really is the guy, by all means proceed!
  15. New York Dems are now allowing almost a MILLION ILLEGLE IMMIGRANTS to vote. They won't need to ballot harvest anymore. They can steal elections in the light of day with illegal immigrants.
  16. What is your thoughts about losing BH, TC, SF and Crosby, and gaining Brenham, Huntsville, Nacogdoches, Montgomery, and Lake Creek?
  17. Too bad it just wasn't a "peaceful protest" like when BLM / Antifa BURNS DOWN American cities, while killing cops and innocent property owners.
  18. I agree with that.
  19. I hope they get a good one. I support RSS but want all of Baytown to do well.
  20. I already did that, and continue to. I upped my real estate, commodity, and equity holdings 5 years ago. I have made more money in the last 5 years than I did in the last 20. Trumps economy is still producing! Like I said, now Bidens inflation is hurting everybody EXCEPT the wealthy. The rich are getting richer. The deadbeat blue voters are seeing this and turning on him right now. The Dumb Dems are on the verge of a mid term slaughter! How funny is that? LOL
  21. The Dems are the ones with buyers remorse. Why? Inflation by far hits their demographic the most. In fact, the "rich get richer" right now. The wealthy own equities, real estate, commodities, and other investments. All are a hedge against Bidens inflation. The typical Dem lives on Government handouts, and spends way more proportionally on things like gas and food. So, which group do you think has done better recently? If you can't figure it out, at least you can be confident most everybody in middle America (the swing votes) has. You will soon see it in the mid term elections, just a few months away. The democrats are about to get SLAUGHTERED at the polls.
  22. And you think Biden is to be credited with that? Biden also tries to take credit for Trumps Warp Speed vaccination program, but Trump developed it. Biden inherited GREAT economic tailwinds from Trump. Trumps economy has rocketed the nations GDP, and the equity markets forward. Economies are like a huge cargo ship. They typically don't screech to a stop and "turn on a dime". Policies take years to implement and the results show up in the following years. For example, you are just now seeing Biden's runway inflation taking hold. It took a year to do so. Watch what happens after another year or two under Biden. I don't think the economy (and eventually the markets) will like Bidens soaring taxes, soaring deficits, runaway inflation, and $5 gas.
  23. As far as BH is concerned, moving up to 5A-1 does not make a huge difference in competition, and it really gives us a compact district travel wise. Crazy compact. I am happy with it as it stands now. Unfortunately 5A-ll fans are in for some long drives, it looks like.
  24. If that small statement "took something away from him" then he really has nothing! All I did was say something that everyone else curiously left out. So is it the truth, or not??? I see you have 631 posts here in this forum. I bet I could EASILY parse and critique all of them and find dozens of example where you "could have said something different". I am so sick of this hurt feelings-snowflake culture! If you are wounded that easily please don't read any message boards! Something somewhere will bother you!
  25. OMG I did NOT say it was ALL about connections, nor did I try to spin any kind of "privilege" accusation, nor is there any "victimhood" or "insanity" here. I don't know what set you off but its totally unnecessary. All I did was mention a small but relevant piece of information that is indeed noteworthy to the topic. I am so sorry your feeling are hurt so bad about what I mentioned. I did not mean to trigger you or anyone else. I swear its almost impossible to express any independent thought without inadvertently triggering someone along the way. People in every industry do use connections to advance. Coaching is just another one, it apparently was indeed a factor here. Its not new by any means and its no big secret. I am sincerely happy for him, and happy China Springs won State. Dang.
