Humble Kingwood Park at Crosby
Separation Scientist replied to lcm93's topic in High School Football
You are right, it wasn't even questionable, knee was down while ball was a half yard line. Your pic you show was taken a half second too soon, and from the entirely wrong angle, but you already knew that. -
I know you are addressing BHFAN, but I am far more concerned with the overall trajectory of the BH program, than one isolated district game. The reason the Crosby posters have gone nuts gloating over their win is because they have an intense jealousy / hate of Barbers Hill and Mont Belvieu, that goes far beyond sports. The fact that BH has won 2X State Championships within the last 6 months have driven them absolutely mad. On top of that, they are terrified that the new BH coach will build Eagles football to achieve more. Crosby ought to be more concerned with the behavior of their coach, and staying out of the Houston news headlines. Their ISD was essentially bankrupt a short time ago, so much so that even their own Superintendent stated "the very existence of Crosby ISD could be called into question." It puts a single football game into perspective. Also, Crosby ISD just made the Houston news again, today. I'll leave it at that!

PNG fans, how crowded is the Neches Wheelhouse on Friday evenings? Are there long wait times? I saw the place on the Texas Bucket List TV series. -

BH in your head, worried about BH 24/7/365. -
Get them while you can Vidor. You won't see them much anymore. With the 59 growth, Splendora will be moving up up and away. V's up for now.

As far as BH possibly "making 3rd or 4th round" I don't know what that thought is based on. Once again, BH has yet to prove it can close out a game against a good opponent. Flukes can happen and poor teams can be encountered in the 2nd round, but especially in the 3rd round and on, you have nothing but good opponents left. BH first has to make the playoffs, and if they don't win this week vs. PNG its pretty much over for this year. After that, seeding matters. BH as a 4th seed won't last long at all. As I said earlier, BH has to focus on one game and one opponent at a time. Can't get too far ahead. Answers are about to come. -

At least Mont Belvieu HAS an economy, and lots of great jobs really nice homes! We don't live in trailer parks and subsidized housing like our Hwy 90 neighbors. đŸ˜€ -

I said a few weeks ago TC is formidable, and lots of people scoffed at it. They look tuff to me. -

You are right, there were none, outside of the typical "borderline" stuff that happens to every team in every game. What you are reading here is nothing but Crosby telling lies trying to smear the school that's in their heads 24/7/365. Some of their posters cannot even sleep at night. Really sad for them. It has intensified since BH won 2 State Championships in the last 6 months, something that Crosby cannot do even once. They also can not admit the sad reality about their coach. This week, and this thread is about BH-PNG, not Crosby's lies. I hope it can stay on track. -

Thats what I have said 3X now. BH let a beaten opponent back in the game and then lost it. Period. Notice I also said PNG 35-33. -
Crosby 53 Barbers Hill 46/FINAL OT
Separation Scientist replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
The sad thing about this is that the game is now completely overshadowed by the acts of Crosby and their coach. The Crosby reputation has suffered way more than any benefit they got by winning the game. Crosby now has to wear it. -

If you will READ what I wrote I blamed BH for letting a beaten opponent back into the game. Try getting facts straight. -

One great thing about playing at PNG is the class of the program and class of the Indian fan base. PNG has had a great reputation for decades. It will be a refreshing change after dealing with trash last week. -

One way or another, this is the inflection point for Barbers Hill. So far, at the seasons midpoint, BH has not been able to finish against a good opponent. As I said earlier in the year BH is killing itself with TO's, because TO's let a beaten opponent back in the game. The schedule does not bode well for BH either. PNG, Ned, and TC are all on the road. It is a very difficult, but not impossible road ahead for the Eagles. It will be interesting to see how they respond. All BH can do is take one game at a time. I support the Eagles 100% but I am a realist. Until BH can finish, and finish on the road, I can't easily pick them to win against a good opponent. Could it happen? Its possible, but until it does I guess 35-33 PNG, with early conversions missed and late BH turnovers letting a 4th quarter PNG comeback materialize. Go Eagles, I hope you prove me wrong.
