The only teams I actively root against are the Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals, and Braves. If those teams aren't involved I'll always root for the underdog, which is Arizona in this case. My dad is also an Astros fan but he'll root for the Rangers in the WS because he falls into the "all things Texas" group. I think the "all things Texas" stance is a lot more common with older folks like him though. His football fandom is gross because he roots equally for the Texans and Cowboys.

Yeah 50/40/10 is probably more accurate now that I think about it, especially taking into account the playoffs when talent tends to be more equal. Thats when coaching prowess or lack thereof is most impactful.

Yeah we haven't really seen how Crane operates with a lot of holes to fill - I'm hoping he doesn't cheap out. Nothing worse than an owner that pinches pennies. Y'all got a good one for sure, going from 100+ losses to an AL pennant in 2 years because he wanted to win and wasn't afraid to spend.
