NBA Playoffs 2022
BEARCPA replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc
God no lol. Rudy would definitely make the Mavs better, but I don't want any part of his mammoth contract on the Mavs' books. -
I love that Wright did it this way - makes Coach K look even more like a narcissist lol.

Bulls definitely have a chance to win the series now with Middleton's MCL injury. -

Can't believe the Bulls are the only lower seed to win a game so far in the East. -
Yepp, I think there are a decent amount of studies out there that show that recruits who play multiple sports in high school end up being more successful at their main sport when they get to college.

Huge performances from Kleber and Brunson. Love seeing them play so well considering their past playoff struggles. The open 3s will be there all series for the Mavs as long as the Jazz's perimeter defense lets every ballhandler blow by them and force Gobert to help at the rim. -

I can see Arceneaux becoming Herb Jones 2.0 over these next few years once he gets more time playing perimeter defense, along with adding a little bulk in the weight room. TA is already a smart offensive player that can knock down 3s. Pelicans found a gem getting Jones in the 2nd round last year. -
I'm patiently waiting for Lumberton folks to get on here and give us their rebuttals lol.

Thought they were toast when KAT fouled out, great effort by the Wolves to pull that out. Both 2-7 series are going to be really fun. I got Celtics in 7 and Grizz in 6. -

Could be wrong but I think he was speaking from PAM's perspective. -
Overall .284 batting average - not bad but not great. Down from last year's average (.286) but higher than the average of the rest of Davis's years (.270).

Yepp, Kidd leaving the starters in too long has been a reoccurring theme this season. -

Of course Luka gets hurt during the last regular season game smh. -
He's going to do well wherever he lands, but I think UT and A&M make more sense just from a playing time perspective. UH and Arkansas are going to be loaded with talent next season.

Lamar heading back to Southland Conference

I find it very hard to believe that Lamar is spending $19 mil. on athletics when their athletic budget is less than $14 mil. -
Lamar heading back to Southland Conference
BEARCPA replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in Lamar Sports Forum
I agree with most of your post, but I don’t think the highlighted part is true at all. I’ve already done the research on Lamar’s athletic budget, which falls well behind their former Southland peers. The powers that be have to agree to start opening up the checkbook. -

Lamar heading back to Southland Conference
BEARCPA replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in Lamar Sports Forum
Honest question for those of us that haven't been involved in the recruiting process: does the conference a school is in matter to recruits at the lower levels of D-1 like the Southland and WAC? -
A quick search of 247's recruiting database will tell you that at least 50 players went D-1 while Westerberg was at Allen, but shows only one guy going D-1 while he was at BH. Real shame he forgot how to develop talent when he moved to Mont Belvieu.
-
Those non-Kyler teams still had tons of D-1 talent on both sides of the ball. How much D-1 talent did Westerburg coach at BH?
-
Good post - the highlighted part starts with the parents though.

From what I understand this is also why Orangefield's population/enrollment numbers remain stagnant. Its a very desirable school district that people want to move to, and there is tons of acreage that could be developed into neighborhoods and businesses. The property owners just do not want to part ways with their land though, which is totally understandable.
