  1. BTW(by the way) Jasper having had most likely the strongest pre district schedule in this websites coverage area. Remember it's quite alright to dis agree with me. I can't force anyone to be right. 🙂
  2. What the haters, the I want you to win but hope you lose people, or folks who just don't know. The seniors on this team have ran a different offense every year of their highschool career. This one being nothing close to the other ones. Yes, it's shaky at times but the DAWGS have proven that skill set and talent is there to be explosive(Palestine and Franklin games are proof) C C (Coach Crumedy) has openly said that if it gets to where he just don't think the players can handle it , he will change to something they can. The current seventh grade class is his to implant a program that is practiced and improved thru repetition, developing kids skillsets all the while putting kids in the right positions to play that best suites them and the team. Look at the sustained success at schools like Liberty Hill and Carthage. Completely opposite offensive schemes but proof that if you perfect your craft it works. C C said (and I may be off 1 or two( +/-) on the exact #) but I gonna say our Jr high participation numbers between 7th and 8 th grade was 67 players(wow). "Scary good" he described the upcoming classes as.
  3. Actually, yes it has. Just in stages. Jasper had a top 5 defense in all of 4A last year and it was without question the reason Jasper was able to have the season that we had. We asJasper fans, hope/expected for close to the same this year. while we do have skilled guys on defense that are coming into their own such as Lackey and Thomas. Tylon Garrett is having another outstanding season , and of course TyAnthony' s ball hawking impact on a game. No Jemario Thomas, Trey Moran, or 3 year starter , district defensive MVP with a 4.0 GPA Kaleb Sells being the difference this season. Kaleb was our on the field defensive play caller who made the the adjustments to get people in the right places, which allowed Tyanthony to show case his skill set. This year the "field general" role belongs to Tyanthony and he will only improve. Keep in mind he didn't play until week 3 game 1) held a good Kincaid team to 15 pts. The defense scoring 6 of our 20 with a scoop and score. game 2) No matter how good or bad Palestine ends up being this season the DAWGS defensive after being down 22-0 after 1st quarter(8 of those being on Jasper offense via, safety and a fumble in end zone recovery for td for Palestine). Held them to only 6 points the rest of the game. game 3) held the # 3 ranked team in their classification to a season low amount of points. game 4,) though at times it didn't seem like it at timesthe DAWGS defense actually did good job against a state champion offense who last year scored the 4th most points in a season in Texas hs football history. Down 21-7 at halftime, held Franklin to just 14 pts in second half. The difference in 41-35 game literally fell on the offense shoulders via the 104 yard pick six. game 5) yes it was alot closer game than what was expected, but the same has been said about all of Libertys games.
  4. for those who are interested: [Hidden Content]
  5. He didn't complete a pass until the second quarter and ended up 8 for 20 for 80 yards & 2 tds.
  6. good choice. Bet your house each and every week!
  7. it's gonna be a good challenge for Jasper without a doubt. We shall see how good of cattle dogs the DAWGS make. Giddy up. GO DAWGS!!
  8. HF has never beat Jasper in Varsity football lol but it's funny that they make a poll appearance and it will be an " upset" if the DAWGS win.
  9. Barbay chose to leave Jasper. As a Mean Green Wolverine he is 0-4. anywho.........
  10. let's see if we can the site's top Coaching analyst to weigh in on this matter. @Reagan
  11. Dementia is such a cruel thing for all involved to have to go through. Sad, so very sad.
  12. We (Jasper) put the ole Hail Mary to use on the last play of game to beat them. ðŸĪŠ
  13. for the record, who do think is the best chance of getting the 1 against? ðŸĪ”
  14. anhhhhhhhh!! My most favorite District mates from when the DAWGS were sent to Region II a few years ago .TaDumb Eagles! oooppps, sorry(old habits are hard to break 😉) Fly HIGH EAGLES. FLY HIGH! has the ring leader of the traveling Eagles Booster/cheer squad (E arrived yet?
  15. HamPshire(Hamshire) Fannett Longhorns with top 10 appearance! That's cool. It's also worth some research to find the last time in football HF broke into top 10. I'm thinking if ever its been a while.
  16. The fun of pre district is over. Time to take care of business. The Panthers are 0-4 but have lost by a combined 32 points. Proof that have not been pushovers and I don't expect them to be this game. Those young men have always give it their all. I think the DAWGS can get a win. Especially, if the aerial attack gets in its groove(yes I said aerial attack ). The OC Coach Crumedy brought in(which to be honest I had assumed Coach Crumedy was gonna run the offense) Beau Burleson a fairly young guy some of you may recall his recent Westbrook stint has got the DAWGS spreading the field this season. I will be missing this one( been a long time since that's happened) but the wife and I are going to see Katt Williams at NRG ARENA. can't wait! GO DAWGS!!
