Jack Alvarez is NOT going to be HC/AD in Jasper. He didn't even make the short list. There is no 12 member panel that is going to make the hire. 4/5 people of the community along with school board members (7) worked together to narrow down candidates based on their applications. they all will/have NOT be part of interviews or actual hiring. 💯

where did you get that info? some more "I heard" type? 8 should be the max if/when it come down to it. there are a total of 7 school board members and 1 superintendent. being the "I heard" pipeline of info. already has J.I S.D out of pocket over $200k for a coach to come here. how ridiculous is it to have a 12 member hiring panel 🙄 even if it were for only one interview?

don't get me wrong Jack has been successful as a head coach and he has ties to the area. no knock on the choice really, but for ME personally I don't get (or have not yet ) that ole funny but good feeling on the inside when something gets you excited. without saying, a STATE 🏆 not far down the line would erase my memory of ever making these comments. anywho.........guess we shall see.

I find 98.8% of Silsbee fans about as pleasurable as an itchy butthole. I would bet that 100% of them think something similar about me. oh! dis pleasure of the dirty football Silsbee played leading to Barbay not scheduling them for 2 years? you were not alone. the overwhelming majority of people who saw what happened felt the same way. he (Barbay) was very much supported by our community for what he did.

you realize Silsbee been on Jasper schedule by choice the past 2 seasons? apparently not.

Silsbee been back on Jasper’s schedule the past 2 seasons. we beat them 20-14 in a weather shortened game, then this past season Covid protocols prevented the game. those games were scheduled by choice.
