[/quote] I don't know how long ago many moons is, but there were 2 very good outfielders in district 21-3A just a few years ago.  Don't forget about the fact that Dishon has an older brother who was pretty dang good in the outfield and remember the kid from Silsbee.  Rocky Calhoun roamed CF for the Silsbee Tigers for 4 years and NEVER made an error. 

Guys, the picks haven't been released and some of you are already griping and 2nd guessing.  The coaches in 21-3A know talent when they see it.  Some players don't get 1st team because they get a superlative award, which is a higher honor than 1st team all-district.  I'm willing to bet that Dishon will get the proper recognition that he deserves.

[/quote] This rule is kind of like speeding.  People speed, and sometimes they get caught.  They normally get a ticket and go about their business.  No one cares or thinks they are a criminal, even though they broke a law.  Coaching 7 on 7 for coaches is illegal but who is going to be mad at a coach for coaching?  I don't know what the UIL would do to a coach, for not following this rule, but I bet the punishment is not to severe.

Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz, both coming off of injuries, rejoin the RANGERS line-up and give TEXAS all the offense they needed.  Hamilton hit a solo HR and Cruz a two run shot.  The RANGERS also received a wonderful pitching performance from Alexi Ogando who threw a complete game shut out.  The RANGERS won 4-0.

Congratulations Coach Kirkland.  I'm going to miss ya buddy!!! 

Who was/who is pitching for Silsbee?

Colby Lewis looked good last night.  He threw a complete game shutout, the first of his career, in a 4-0 RANGERS win!!!  This gave the bullpen and Feliz a much needed night off.

Nice to have Neftali Feliz back!!! 

A couple of baseball books that I have enjoyed: Cobb Glove Affairs (This is a book about gloves and players superstitions. Very interesting)

Yes, another reliever would help this team dramatically.  Hopefully Feliz can come back and add a little spark.  Offense is down at this time, except for Michael Young, who is killing the ball.  Hopefully those bats will get hot for the summer!!!

I don't know anything about HJ playing at COWBOYS Stadium next month but I do know they will be playing Hamshire-Fannett this Saturday(April, 30) at Hawk Stadium in Sour Lake. The game starts at 1:00.  Come out and enjoy a little old school football.

GAME 2: Tuesday night from the Ballpark. Colby Lewis (1-1  ERA 5.25) Matt Palmer (0-0 ERA 7.71)

The RANGERS win game one of the series 7-1.  CJ pitched a great game and the TEXAS offense showed their diversity by hitting balls out of the park and by playing small ball.  Beltre and Moreland both hit HR's and Andrus executed a squeeze bunt to score Ian Kinsler. 

GAME 1: tonight at the BALLPARK IN ARLINGTON CJ Wilson (1-0  ERA 3.72) vs Ervin Santana (0-1  ERA 3.74)

Dang, yankees win 6-5 and take the series.  I didn't get to finish the game last night.  Anyone have info on the game?

GAME 3: 7:05 from the bronx Alexi Ogando (2-0  ERA 0.00) vs CC Sabathia (0-1  ERA 1.45)

The yankees win game 2, 5-2.

GAME 2: 12:05 start from yankee stadium. Derek Holland (2-0  ERA 2.25)  vs Freddy Garcia (0-0  ERA 9.00)

RANGERS take game 1, 5-3.

GAME 1: 6:05 from yankee stadium Matt Harrison (2-0  ERA 1.29) vs Ivan Nova (1-0  ERA 6.10)

Dang, RANGERS lose their 1st series of the year.  Knew it would happen eventually but was enjoying the ride as long as possible. ;D

2-2 top of 7th.
