  18. Cowboys Call 2 p.m. (Central) Press Conference Featuring Jason Witten Thursday, May 03, 2018 10:33 AM CDT FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys have called a 2 p.m. (Central) press conference Thursday featuring Jason Witten as multiple reports state the veteran tight end is expected to retire. Speculation has swirled for the past few weeks that the All-Pro tight end might step away to enter the world of broadcasting. It’s widely reported that Witten will indeed join the Monday Night Football crew for the 2018 season. There hasn’t been an official announcement yet from the Cowboys or Witten. Witten was originally selected in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft, at No. 69 overall. He played 15 games his rookie season, missing one game with a broken jaw, and finished with 35 catches for 347 yards. From that point forward, the Elizabethton, Tenn., native never missed an opportunity to cement his legacy. From the 2004 season until this past January, Witten never missed another game – playing in a Cowboys-record 239 total games and 235 in a row, with 179 consecutive starts. Along the way, he has racked up plenty of milestones. Witten’s Hall of Fame-worthy resume includes 1,152 catches for 12,448 yards and 68 touchdowns. In the process, he picked up 11 Pro Bowl nominations and four All-Pro selections. For his career, Witten is the Cowboys’ all-time leader in career receptions and career yards. His 68 career touchdowns are third-best in franchise history, behind Dez Bryant and Bob Hayes. Witten was asked about his future as recently as two weeks ago, and he said it was his plan to remain with the Cowboys in 2018. “There’s been a lot of things that have happened over the years – especially the last few months. I guess that’s what happens when you get old,” he said. “Maybe one day that’ll happen. But hopefully I can play until I’m 40 like some of these other guys we’re talking about.” Yet reports broke over draft weekend that Witten was considering retirement. Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said last Friday that he met with Witten multiple times that week and the veteran tight end needed a few days to contemplate his future. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Wednesday that the Cowboys would support Witten “110 percent” with any decision he made.
  19. You beat me to it. Conference record: 18-3 Overall record: 32-13 The Don Sanders Cup started in 2017. The two teams play a 3 game series throughout the season. 1 game in Huntsville, 1 in houston and 1 at Sugar Land's Constellation Field. The winner wins the Cup. Here's a little information about the series. Don Sanders Cup winner: 2017-SHSU (3 games to 0) 2018-SHSU (2 games to 1) Sam Houston State baseball and the University of Houston will play three games against one another, competing for the inaugural Don Sanders Cup beginning during the 2017 season. Sanders, a Houston philanthropist and Sam Houston alumnus who has made contributions to both universities, is the namesake of the Bearkat baseball home, Don Sanders Stadium, and donated $1 million to establish an endowment fund to enhance the baseball program. Sanders is founder and chairman of the investment firm Sanders Morris Harris. 20. What does the security guard have to do with this and why was he fired?
  21. The COWBOYS wanted to draft Gallup in the 2nd but the people in the war room kept saying, "remember atlanta last year." Sounds like the COWBOYS are determined to prevent another 10 sack game if a starting OL goes down. From what I've read, Connor Williams can play all 5 OL positions. Then to make it even better, Gallup was still there in round 3.
  22. SHSU swept mcneese this weekend. Game 1: win 4-3 Game 2: win 9-4 Game 3: win 7-4 Conference record: 18-3 Overall record: 31-13
  23. I sure hope my son does not start liking the Longhorns. Would hate to break his heart when I tell him there’s no way in H E double hockey sticks that he’s going to austin
  24. The COWBOYS trade Ryan Switzer to oakland for a DT
  25. The COWBOYS traded a 6th round pick to the rams for Tavon Austin
