I watched and came away thinking about crappy parenting instead of privilege. You see, I have a son and he is not privileged. What he has are parents that care about him more than we care about ourselves.

The biggest problem is those people are voting. They vote without any knowledge. They are against any idea or plan that President Trump comes up with because the media and other organizations tell them to.

Let me begin by saying I know almost nothing about Islam and I’m going off of what I read above. This is the problem with Islam. Their beliefs go against the law of the land. The USA has been built on Christian beliefs and the laws match these beliefs. I understand freedom of religion and I respect that their are other religions that people follow. The problem I have is when your religious beliefs break the laws of the land that you live in. Islam should not be allowed in the USA.

I agree with you but, unfortunately this will not happen with goodell in charge. He's already proven that he won't enforce the rules on the National Anthem.
-
Just read that the shooter had access to the service elevator. It sounds like he used it to get his equipment into his room. Too many questions remain. Things just don't add up.

You're right, it does sound like paid patriotism. However, what does 2009 have to do with todays policy? The speed limit in Texas(i think it changed in 1995) used to be 55 mph. Do you still drive 55? Of course you don't. You follow the speed limit of today. I posted the policy on the National Anthem in a couple of posts above. Why are the teams and players not being held accountable?
-
The following is the nfl policy regarding the National Anthem. It doesn't take an educated person to read and understand that the "should" is not an option. By reading and using context clues, you can figure out that "should" means will stand. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, an NFL spokesperson said: “The national anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the national anthem. During the national anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the national anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.” The policy also states that there can be discipline handed down for not being on the field and for not standing for the National Anthem. The biggest problem, this policy shows just how much of a hypocrite goodell is. You see, he will fine a player for not wearing the proper equipment, he will fine and suspend a player for committing personal fouls, he will even suspend players for things they did before they were in the nfl. However, he is too chicken crap to uphold a rule about our National Anthem. He has allowed players to kneel during the National Anthem, he has allowed teams to not take the field during the National Anthem and he hasn't fined, suspended or punished anyone or any team for it. Black AMERICAN's Perspective on National Athem
Ty Cobb replied to 5GallonBucket's topic in Political Forum
What do bad cops getting away with murder have to do with the National Anthem. Why protest America? Why not protest cops? Have the nfl players and anyone that wants to protest bad cops go to the police stations and protest there. -
What does this have to do with the 2nd Amendment? There is no such thing as freedom of speech at work. You can be fired for saying something negative or for saying something that your boss does not agree with, or for saying something that makes your business lose money. Which is exactly what is happening. Now, if the nfl players want to take a knee on "their" time, that is ok. When they are at home watching a game, take a knee. When they hear the National Anthem played at a concert, take a knee. This is their right.

This can not be true! Holy crap, california has really lost their minds. Pay people to act like civilized citizens. I've heard it all now. Dang, I have a high school and college degree, have never killed anyone and go to work every day. How much money can I get?

I agree with you. I love watching a running game wear down an opposing defense. It's one of those catch 22's. They need to run the ball but have to throw because of what defense's are doing. I just hope they figure it out pretty soon. The last two loses have been heart breaking.
-
How do the COWBOYS change this? I know they have to be able to run the ball but it's tough to run with a 6 and 7 man box. Better route choices? Leaving a TE/back in to help with pass protection? What are you thinking?
-
Where did I state that the packers had a TOP advantage in the 2nd half? I stated that the packers had a 3rd quarter advantage. I also stated that the COWBOYS have struggled in the 2nd half the last 2 games. They have lost TOP and points in the 2nd half the last two games.
-
The packers had an 11:30 minute to 3:30 minute TOP advantage in the 3rd quarter, as well as a 23-10 point advantage in the 2nd half. Made a lot of difference.

I agree with some of your assessment but not all. I agree that the defense is not very good. I think most COWBOYS fans knew this would be a rough year defensively . Too much turnover in the secondary. The defensive line is starting to get pressure and the LB's, with Sean Lee healthy and on the field, are pretty good. Remember, there are only 2 returning starters in the secondary(Byron Jones and Anthony Brown) and both are young players. There is no doubt that teams are stacking the box and saying, "beat us through the air" I agree that Dez is not an elite WR. He's good, but not elite. He makes hustle plays and is very good across the middle. I do not agree with you on the offensive line. I don't think they are overrated at all. This is a very good offensive line. There are 2 new starters on the line at left guard and right tackle and they are constantly facing/trying to block 6 and 7 man fronts. This is why running lanes are closing faster this year and why Dak is under more pressure. One thing that I'm having trouble figuring out is why does the offense look so good in the 1st half of games and like crap in the 2nd half. Time of possession and points have been few and far between in the 2nd half of the last two games. GO COWBOYS!!!

In this case, I agree with you. I don't think a citizen with a weapon could have prevented or stopped this awful attack. The guy in this attack was too well fortified. Heck, it took cops and a swat team over an hour to get into his room. I do however support the concealed carry law and like knowing that good guys can have weapons to protect themselves and others.

I just read that he scouted out and rented hotel rooms in Chicago near Wrigley Field and in Boston near Fenway. This information came from yahoo. Not sure how credible that site is. Has anyone else heard of this?
-
I've seen several reports that state the shooter used automatic weapons. I've also seen reports that say the shooter used an AR and an AK with bump stocks. Does anyone know the truth? Did he actually have fully automatic weapons or not?

Black students protest to many Africans admitted into college

I always thought that Ivy league schools had the "best of the best" when it came to students. You know, the "smart kids". Oh have I been wrong!!! -
I more concerned with the offense than the defense. The defense is second fiddle on this team. They are not built/ do not have the same type of quality players that the offense has. A couple of stops, a turnover and forcing FG's is what this defense will give us. The offense has been built over the years to be a dominate force. What changed from the 1st half to the 2nd? Where did the running game go? What happened to controlling the clock, eating up time of possession, and keeping the defense off the field? Why is there so much pressure on Dak this year? Seems like he's being hit/rushed more than normal. This team will only go as far the offense takes it.

I'm starting to feel the same way. This dude was nothing more than a patsy. There's more to this sad story.

I'll take the Yankees and Diamondbacks

It's already done. The president called out the nfl. The players are standing and the nba has announced that everyone must stand.
