Um, Purple 4ever, huh? Sounds like another spreader of the PN-G taxpayer burden misery. Friend, it's not about the building. You can learn in a building that was built during the Lincoln administration. Tearing down schools and building new ones and spending 1.8 on a stadium will not educate one child, no matter how you spin it. I like that one. Do It for the kids.

Some feel the same goes for misery!

I see! You want to spread your PN-G tax burden misery to the Ned folks. You want the Ned folks to "feel your pain," in other words. All I can say is, let the buyer beware! ;D ;D ;D

This is good also. More info the better. But from what I'm hearing, the total hefty price tag will probably be the telling factor. People usually vote with their pocket books. We shall see.

Good job! Looks like you done your homework. i knew that was coming. Sorry but i have all ready done my research. Its kind of like going to 2 doctors for a second opinion, who are you going to believe? I am going with the 3rd independent doctor. Google it and you will get field turf better than grass, then you will get grass better than field turf. Head injuries on grass, muscle strains on field turf. Muddy conditions on grass, extreme temperatures on field turf. Grass is self rinsing, field turf has to be sanitized. On and on and on. I hope you come up with your own answer to this i have mine.

This is actually the way it ought to be. Good post!

OK, I appreciate your comments. But, have you talked to someone that you absolutely trust that is against the bond issue? You know, just to get both sides of the story. Because, let's face it, what do you think someone from the bond committee was going to say? See my point? ****126 MILLION DOLLARS****
-
The bond issue is such a large figure (126 million) that when you say, "it's only 3%," well, it does sound small. That is until you actually state the figure 1.8 million. Now "that" figure is astounding and will not educate one child. Now to the other part: Tearing down two schools and rebuilding them. How will this educate one child? Couldn't they learn just as well with a smaller amount of money and repair what they have? I would think so. My friend, 126 million dollars is an awful lot of money. That high dollar stadium over at PN-G, did it make them play any better? So, the point is priorities. Get them straight, and a smaller bond issue, and I think you may have something there. But, as is, I'm afraid it's doomed. IMHO.
-
I see you stated you are voting for the bond issue. Did you read my last post? Any comment on that post?
-
The bottom line is will taxpayers accept an 126 million dollar bond issue in an economic down-turn. Think about it this way: People are losing their jobs and those that have a job are having to tighten their belts and cut spending. While everyone is tightening up their spending, now along comes a taxpayer funded entity that wants to increase spending to the tune of 126 million dollars. And a lot of it will not educate one child. IMO. Anyone agree/disagree with what's said here?
-
Bad timing for a 126 million dollar bond election. During an economic down turn, the last thing people usually want is more taxes to pay. A couple of bond proposals have recently been voted down in the area. But we shall see. I do not remember the square footage but we stayed under the number required to install an elevator--and you are correct the elevator requirement is tied to the square footage of the press box and the elevator is very expensive--if I remember correctly about 600,000 dollars

Friend, I'm sure you are right. But we are talking about under Neumann's reign. But thanks for the info. -

Amen, brother! -
If Stowers was still the coach, you may have a point. But Central and Ozen have un-tested HC's. So, at this point it has to lean towards West Brook. IMO.

Solid red shirt? Interesting! Trust me, the talking points and kool-aid I'm talking about I'll never do. But forcing a kid to regurgitate talking points is rather interesting. Again, the truth is Ned's NEVER done it before and PN-G gets a new coach, well one has to wonder. Ned's had "big time players" -- your words -- before and has never done it. So one could intelligently -- and without drinking the kool-aid -- deduce that there might be an ulterior motive. On the contrary, I hope these big time players have success. I hope if they can score 40 points they'll win. Know what I mean?! Because a good defense is sine qua non to a championship football season. Always has been, always will be. -

Kids are cute. They can be persuaded to say anything, if this is a kid. Drinking too much kool-aid makes one do strange things -- as the drinking of the kool-aid suggest, if you know what I mean. -

Can you prove this? Otherwise the talking points are rip-snorting for sure. I like this one better: Let the ILLUSION continue. Or regurgitation of the kool-aid. ;D ;D ;D -

Suggs would be a good fit. -
Barnett, Burnett, they both didn't want any part of WO-S. Ha! ;D ;D

Baddog, are you pro or con the school bond issue?
-
Hard to deny facts getting to you, buddy? There are other facts and opinions other than the kool-aid and talking points. This is what I keep trying to stress. ;D ;D ;D
-
We shall see what happens the first game. If it's bad, will it continue? Only time will tell. Da Brook situation is non-deniable, though. Signed to play for two years, went good. Signed on for two more years (you see, it can be done. And venture to say if Rabb was still the coach they would still be playing. IMO.), went good and bad. Didn't sign anymore. Only kool-aid drinkers would think there was not a cause and effect here. It's not good to drink the kool-aid and regurgitate the talking points, if you know what I mean. ;D ;D ;D Again, you have no point. It is MOOT. No one is scared of anyone. If they were afraid, they wouldn't don the uniform.
