  1. Are you talking about the old TJ winning mentality? ??? ??? ???
  2. Again, one can't be totally sure about Danaher's intentions. But -- he is a proven commodity and I presume he is serious at this point. If he's not, PN-G was right -- with all the available info at the time -- in being excited about the prospect because of what he has achieved in the past.
  3. But, unless you can be 100% sure -- which you cannot -- then are you willing to take a chance on an unproven HC commodity? My point is: when paying the big bucks, you stick, if available, to the proven HC's.
  4. He was the HC during all of this? Well he probably was not. Consequently the main credit goes to the actual HC. Sure this Garret guy was only one spoke of the larger wheel. Again, are you willing to pay big bucks for "on-the-job-training?" I wouldn't. IMHO.
  5. And an excellent throw it was! ;D
  6. Not from what I'm hearing. Think about it: If Stowers didn't want any part of it, do you think Brooks does?
  7. Just trying to get some to think. ;D ;D quote author=ECBucFan link=topic=49154.msg515563#msg515563 date=1233140820] It's pretty much common knowledge Hodges wants out of Kountze. Regardless what anyone wants to say, BB is first, FB is second at Kountze. Hodges has done a great job, but needs to go where he can win and FB be primary. Hodges would be a great hire for someone. As far as the "Dog" hints, Jasper? I guess, but who knows? Again, say it if you can, otherwise, should have just waited.
  8. Lions?, with a hint of "who let the dogs out?!" Interesting. Didn't your mom ever tell you that it is never good to hold it in? Let it out man! You will get relief! No more stomach pains. Kountze Lions
  9. Hint: Who let the dogs out!
  10. That's what I'm talking about! Would love to see it.
  11. Again, Faircloth is not a proven HC. I think it would be between Garrett and Faircloth, IMO. I would go with Faircloth, he is a proven winner based on the schools he has coached at.
  12. In this situation, this is always a concern. Looks that way!!!!!! > > > > > :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
  13. If it bothers you don't respond. It's one of those that will resurface every year with new posters.... yawn Yes indeed! Lol.
  14. I feel 1 team is not enough. To me 2 teams in the playoffs is enough. This way a team can really feel they've earned something. I think what you have now is nothing more than a money thing. But if this is the reason: why not make it more of a joke and let them all go?!
  15. This brings up an interesting question: Stowers was obviously looking. Why no PAM application? Is it that bad at PAM? ??? ??? ???
  16. Is it just me or are there others who feel having 4 teams in the playoffs have cheapened the post season run?
  17. There's a chance the Ozen coach might be leaving also. If Stump leaves then all HC jobs in Beaumont will be open. One problem I see is that they pay the HC's the same amount, irregardless of success. From what I understand it's in the 70K range. Plus each coach does not total control. This was the argument I had from the beginning why Stump should make the move to PN-G. Just a though.
  18. I don't guess that anyone from PN-G contacted the Everman or Celina coach as we talked about in previous blogs?
  19. This doesn't mean much. Remember, The former LC-M coach called plays for either Temple or Longview. And you see what happened. I would rather let an individual have on-the-job-training on other people's dime. IMHO. I know for a fact that Faircloth is the OC and calls the plays at Permian. He's been there since '06 and has called every play since that time. He called the offense in the THSCA All-Star game, and I've heard him speak at clinics before. An extremely sharp guy with a very creative offense. You can't deny the numbers Permian has put up since he's been there. He's definitely the best hire...you don't want to hire a guy who might retire in a year or two. You need a guy who will be here for years to come and build this program the right way.
  20. Neumann breaths another sigh of relief! Stowers was a class act. Nederland wishes him well and it couldn't have come any sooner..
