You tell me. I didn't get to make it to the game. That's why I put it out to all the teams listed for input from those that actually went to their games.
Smitty can you tell me how good Crosby was, I know you're a Nederland fan and could tell us how the defense looked and what the competition was like. We were supposed to be going up against so much speed our kids neck would get wrenched watching them go by... was that the case?
I'm afraid it's gonna be curtains for the lil Indian boys! ;)
whats everyones thoughts after last nights games?
Actually, I was curious about Central and Ozen. But, I opened it up to more teams just to get a feel of what took place overall. It appeared to me that Ozen may have done good but not against a normal West Brook team. Although Central lost, it appeared that PAM was stiffer competition. They also done good. Therefore wanting opinions from those that actually saw the different games.

On the different games played, which team: Nederland, LC-M, Vidor, Central, Ozen, and PN-G, based on what was observed, had the stiffest competition and which team had the least competition.

How's your defense this year?

When you have seasoned starters on the side lines with injuries its difficult to make things happen as they do in practice. Moving people around or putting players in who have very little experience at the varsity level is gonna cause problems. Both PNG and Nederland have starters not playing right now because of injuries. Lets all just hope they heal up quickly and will be ready for some Friday Nite Lights ! Best thing about scrimmages is that you get to evaluate your players and back ups and how your team handles adversity.
Yes let us hope and pray for those kids for a quick recovery. We wouldn't yall having excuses when Vidor beats both of yall. 8) jk lol...
Well, you won't need to waste any of your time contemplating that. Unlike you, us Mid County folks know how to lose gracefully. We don't need to make excuses and speak about what MIGHT have been and COULD have been... We just take care of business in the moment and point to the scoreboard when leaving the stadium.
well seee what the score board says this year.
-

The law of averages allows you to brag every now and then. Good for you. But nothing has changed concerning the past noted discussions. There's no doubt Neaumann has the ability to win a state championship. But I have MY OPINION on why it'll never happen as long as certain things don't change. We know for a FACT your philosophy on the subject hasn't gotten us one! Heck, it took us 19 years to get an out-right district championship going with your philosophy. LOL!!

31-14? smitty says, hummmmm!!
Darn, were 0-2 in scrimmages. Guess we should fire the DC and cut ole Larrys salary. With Smitty its never a pat on the back, but always a kick in the A$$. No excuses here, its a long season.... and it hasnt even started yet!!!!
-

LOL! Ned did a good job last year. But, like I said, it wasn't because of, but in spite of. I wish we would win state every year. Defense wins championships. Well, you know the rest. Not because of the kids. Good luck Ned.
Smitty???? Didn't hear squat from him last year, did we?
-

Humm, an upgrade from playing in the State Championship game?! Interesting!
This is a good hire for Kelly HS. Even though this Coach Homes first HC job, he comes with lots of varsity experience and he is a former standout college player to boot. Certainly an upgrade for them from last season. Given that he is a Kelly alum with credible experience, it is a sensible hire by the folks at Kelly.
Just heard Huk got another job. Anyone know where it's at?

What are we possibly looking at, 1-9?! ;)

I have something that will stir debate. The PA News awarded it's coach of the year to the Memorial coach. If everything was equal, that would be a good choice. But here is the debate: Do you give the award to someone who has tons of talent and should have won, or do you, should you, give it to a coach that doesn't have the talent level as other teams and won the out-right district for the first time during his tenure? That being Larry Neumann. I think above and beyond job was done by Neumann and should have been awarded coach of the year. But, the PA News may have been doing a little home cooking with breakfast in bed!
After seeing the pictures man the cops are big. The cops should be disciplined and held accountable for their actions. This is the example of misconduct on the part of the cops. I talked to a local school district police chief. He said that school district policy states that the only way event officers would get involved in a "on field" fight, before, during or after a game, between uniformed players is if the coach, administrator, superintendent or any other school official ordered the police officers to intervene. He said that it is the responsibility of the coaches to control or intervene in any incidents involving players. This p**** me off. Mr. Big cop with his arm in the throat of a 17 year old football player. I bet the cop went home and bragged to his family what he done.
