  1. I stand corrected…but my point of bringing this up was to show BU has no problem traveling, contrary to what many on here believe. Also just spoke with a good friend on mine Kimball’s staff (Ryan Carrington) they are way down this year, team of mostly freshman & sophomores, so this wasn’t a competitive game. But not mad at them scheduling the defending 5A state champs.
  2. Since BU’s inception: 76-73 Silsbee 106-57 BU 49 109-63 BU 46 62-52 BU 10 84-54 BU 30 93-63 BU 30 78-68 BU 10 BU has beaten Silsbee by an average of 29 points since the school open…again please tell me how scheduling a game like this helps BU? Maybe I’m missing something
  3. I’ll say it again…NO OTHER PREMIER 6A PROGRAMS ARE SCHEDULING 4A SCHOOLS! You can make whatever excuses you want…playing Silsbee or any of the other teams they’ve scheduled thus far in non district isn’t helping you get better or preparing you for the road that’s ahead IMO. I’m not sure why yall pretending as if BU has to travel long distances to play quality competition, when Houston is right up the road & it’s plenty of quality competition there as you saw when they played Cy Springs. Secondly you can schedule home games to prevent having to drive, however having to travel is inevitable based on the location of where Beaumont is compared to the other 5A/6A competition. Furthermore BU traveled way to Arlington just to play a 5A Kimball team (nobody on here mentioned travel being an issue then btw) when I’m SURE there were more quality 5A/6A opponents in DFW they could’ve played. The fact y'all really on here defending the 6A state runner up playing a 4A school is baffling to me. When I coached at NS we aimed to schedule the best of the best. We wouldn’t schedule an opponent that wasn’t on the same level as us or a team outside of 6A cause it didn’t do anything for us, iron sharpens iron…simple.
  4. Ummmm no…has Silsbee ever beat BU since its inception?
  5. You have no clue what you’re talking about man.
  6. Tiger pull your skirt down…nothing I said was a slight to Silsbee. Again Silsbee folks want to make my statements about them. & I obviously got your attention, you could’ve easily ignore me lol
  7. This is exactly why you don't schedule a 4a school...it's a lose/lose situation.
  8. You don't even have to play the national teams IMO, but scheduling teams like Kimball, Nederland, Silsbee, GCM & playing in tourney's like the YMBL etc come on bruh smh
  9. I said the TOP 6A programs like DV, Lake Highlands, Desoto, BU Atascocita, etc I wouldn't but NC in the same category as those schools but if you consider them a top 6A program then I stand corrected. However no matter how you try and spin it BU playing Silsbee makes zero sense neither does scheduling games you have no chance of losing...that's literally the definition of scheduling soft. The best is supposed to play the best especially in non district play, the games don't matter.
  10. I love Green he's a future HOF, I spent a lot of time around him while we were coaching at NS got tons of respect for him...however that doesn't change the fact that BU scheduled a soft non-district schedule.
  11. I guess you gotta travel across the nation to play good competition....got it! But I get it y'all want to make my post about Silsbee lol
  12. They understand exactly what I’m saying they just want to make it about Silsbee…we know how this go! Also I have no issue with BU scheduling good 5A programs, but let’s be honest their schedule has been piss poor thus far.
  13. Again these aren’t “scheduled” by either team. Atascocita isn’t “scheduling” 4A teams no matter how you try & spin. And I just went looked at FF & Carter’s schedules don’t see not one top 6A program that they “scheduled”. Maybe I’m missing something. There’s no way you’re justifying a premier 6A program like BU scheduling a 4A game, especially when you only have a few teams on your schedule with records above .500
  14. In tournaments…not in a “scheduled” non district game. That’s a BIG difference you don’t control who you play in tournaments, stop it Aggie.
  15. I wasn’t referring to Silsbee in particular I was talking about the schedule as a whole I believe BU has only played 2 teams with winning records…no disrespect to Silsbee but as a premier 6A bball program I’m not scheduling a 4A school. I don’t see any other top 6A programs scheduling 4A programs
  16. Can somebody help me understand why BU has scheduled so soft? As a top 6A program I don’t get the logic behind scheduling 4A programs…doesn’t help you at all IMO.
  17. I know Lil C personally…he ain’t from no damn Silsbee
  18. Correct…let me rephrase their bad in terms of what NS is used to playing with. One of the main reason we won 3 titles because we were able to dominate DV in the trenches. On top of that I’m hearing Bailey is dealing with a sprained or possibly torn MCL! He played with a brace on his knee today for the first time since Week 1…it’ll be an uphill battle for NS either way
  19. Well it would make sense why you’d make this statement…
  20. Whattttttt? Lil C born and raised in Beaumont…attended BISD every year he was in school EXCEPT his senior year lol yall gotta be stopped
  21. If PNG can stop the run and force SOC to pass it they have a shot. I haven't seen much from SOC in the passing game, however from a personnel standpoint they are severely outmatched at just about every position on the field.
