  1. People forget all the stuff that was talked about Kenny Harrison on here for years. Tell me what’s the main difference between his tenure in PA & Summer Creek? I’ll tell you TALENT! He’s been to the 3rd round 4 years in a row & now playing for a state title cause he has talent. I’ll say it again coaching DOES matter but not over talent. You could put Nick Saban at either BISD school & he wouldn’t win. Talent is the #1 ingredient for success, this is literally common sense. You’ve never seen a coach win anything without having talent.
  2. Common denominator…”TALENT”
  3. So basically you can’t name anyone right? Talking out your a** like I figured lol
  4. Cool story
  5. Guess you missed that question mark at the end of the sentence huh? Also I didn’t speak on any of my credentials until you started trying to discredit them. I actually was only giving my opinion on why I felt talent matters more than coaching. Of course you continue to make up nonsense cause you have nothing factual to base your knowledge or me nor your stance on why coaching matters around. But it’s a free country continue to speak on things you’re clueless about lol And to answer your question how many bad coaches you know won 3 state titles at the 6A D1 level?
  6. Answer mine…
  7. Just know whatever school you root for would hire me in a heart beat
  8. You made up me saying how great of a coach I was…which is something I’ve never said once on this site. I posted the videos for a very specific reason that I already clarified. Yet you continue to ignore that, just like you continue to ignore the fact that I never said coaching that don’t matter. Only on SETX Sports Forum does state championship rings not validate coaches. And let me guess takes a from a guy who never played or coach this game is more credible than someone that’s actually done & experienced everything that you pretend to be knowledgable about huh? L O L
  9. I actually posted that to prove that I was indeed a varsity coach contrary to what some on here believe…never came on here & said how good of a coach I was. No need to do that I have 3 state championship rings to validate me. So yeah you did indeed make that up, just like you made up me saying coaching doesn’t matter lol
  10. How can you create talent as a coach? I’m really interested to know… & please show me where I said any of this? Either you can’t read or you just making up things as you go
  11. Re-read this & tell me what’s the common denominator. Lol
  12. Not true…if PAM didn’t have athletes it wouldn’t matter who the coach was. Same with PNG, they have talent. Also I’m not biased at all I’ve just been around many great coaches & the recipe to any successful coach is the same TALENT.
  13. 1. I never said this I'm simply speaking on what’s the MOST IMPORTANT ingredient to success. Does coaching matter absolutely but not more than talent. 2. This isn’t true the most talented teams in the state (at least at the 6A level) are all playing for state titles. 3. I actually left coaching on my own will, I could easily be coaching in my 4th state title game this weekend if I wanted to be. Nice try though bud.
  14. I watched the game & it came down to Jimmy’s & Joes…only adjustment SOC made was to start getting the ball to their “talented” WR’s on the outside which PNG had no answer for. SOC is where it is today cause Jason Todd took the job & immediately recruited “talent” there. It ain’t rocket science, look at DV before Samples showed up they were terrible. Once he got there he brought in “talent” now they’ve been to 5/6 state title games. I guess you think DV just start having some magical coaching when Samples showed up huh?
  15. If PA didn’t have the talent that they have you wouldn’t even be mentioning them with the likes of NS. If had the right coach with no talent PA would still get their butts kicked only diff is it’d be a lot worse.
  16. Watch this…name a kid that’s on NS current roster that was recruited? I’ll wait
  17. I think y’all are changing the narrative…of course coaching matters but we’re talking about the MAIN ingredient it takes to win. Why do yall think college football programs spend the most money on recruiting? Let’s look at all the teams who made the state title game in 6A…what do they all have in common? Plenty of Division 1 talent…again 90% of having a successful football program is TALENT! Jimmy & Joes> X&O’s Barber’s Hill hired the coach from Allen who won multiple state champions & what happened? Did he forget how to coach when he got there? Katy lost in the second round for the first time in forever…did Gary Joseph forget how to coach? I can go on & on, again only people who’ve never coached will tell you coaching matters over talent lol At NS we ran a 4-3 Cover 0 scheme…which allowed us to put 7 in the box and sit our DB’s on an island with no help over the top! Being a secondary coach it helped that I had 5 Division 1 players in the secondary including guys like 5 star Denver Harris & 5 Star Devin Sanchez at corner. Do yall think NS would be able to run defense like that without talent? Now imagine if we had a bunch of slow a** average joes out there at DB.
  18. Only folks who never coached will say this lol
  19. Well we’ll see if coaching matters over talent this weekend.
  20. The point was clear…BU non district schedule sucks for a team who’s been to 3 state title games. Save the rest of the dramatics.
  21. Lol c’mon Aggie we both know scheduling them & FF is like playing a 6A school. They both full of recruited talent.
  22. Hate to bust your bubble but this not true at all Bud! You need talent to win at any & all levels, talent is 90% of the ingredient you need to have sustainable success in football. Crosby had a two year run & now look….
  23. I stand corrected…but my point of bringing this up was to show BU has no problem traveling, contrary to what many on here believe. Also just spoke with a good friend on mine Kimball’s staff (Ryan Carrington) they are way down this year, team of mostly freshman & sophomores, so this wasn’t a competitive game. But not mad at them scheduling the defending 5A state champs.
  24. Since BU’s inception: 76-73 Silsbee 106-57 BU 49 109-63 BU 46 62-52 BU 10 84-54 BU 30 93-63 BU 30 78-68 BU 10 BU has beaten Silsbee by an average of 29 points since the school open…again please tell me how scheduling a game like this helps BU? Maybe I’m missing something
