I knew that….I was more so speaking on 6A D1! Go look at Katy’s history in the D1 bracket at the 6A level…never sniffed a state title game. Yet you think it’s a coincidence that the moment they go D2 they end up in the state championship game? Lol

Not at all…one or two teams don’t make up the entire D2 bracket! There’s a huge talent gap between D1 & D2 teams. Anyone who knows any better will tell you this. There’s a reason why Katy & Desoto ain’t won state titles in the D1 bracket!

NS just struggled with Deer Park & Clear Springs…does that make DP or Clear Springs anything more than mediocre? Having a good QB doesn’t matter when you can’t match up in the trenches or have a defense. I’ve coached against Lagway when he was a freshman and they had him playing WR. I think he’s elite, however he hasn’t played any good competition all season. Giving up 52 points to the woodlands should tell you everything you need to know about this matchup.

But to answer your question: Yes I’m predicting SC to make it to the state title game. They’ll probably lose to a more talented Desoto team who typically participates in the D1 bracket. (As they should) Yes DV is the defending state champion in D1 due to them not playing against NS starting QB who’s undefeated as a starter and won state as a freshman. Yes Desoto beat DV this year without their starting LT (hence why they gave up 6 sacks to one player) and the 5th best player in the nation sat out for a half. Again there’s context to everything, you should stick to discussing SETX teams. You’re clearly misinformed.

You said Atascocita has never won anything…Atascocita plays in the big boy bracket D1. So if we’re going to compare Cita & Desoto let’s compare apples to apples. Compare Desoto’s history in the Division 1 bracket to Atascocita’s & they’re literally the same program. You literally said 11-6A was the best district in the state and included a team in Cedar Hill that made the playoffs at 5-5. That tells you everything you need to know about that district & also tells me you haven’t watched one Cedar Hill game this year.

Desoto & Atascocita have the same history if you take away their two trips to the D2 bracket lol Cita just never been afforded the luxury of playing in the D2 bracket like Desoto has. Contrary to your believe all state titles aren’t created equal falcon. BTW you literally just praised Cedar Hill for being 5-5 & making the playoffs but Cita loses two games and they terrible. Desoto has never even reached the state championship game in the D1 bracket…ironically the the two times they’ve played in the D2 bracket they win state. If Atascocita had the same luxury they would have multiple state titles. Again CONTEXT! You crowning Desoto for winning against lesser competition…that narrative.
