Hard thing to do in today’s world go work in a suburban school and get paid well. At the end of the day it’s still about retirement numbers. Hate it for smaller rural schools because outside of oversized school board influence they are generally a great place to work

Lots to ponder here. pros and cons. Cons first program has won 5 games four tomes this century and 6 games once this century and it’s a rural east Texas town. Pays not gonna match suburban schools and hiring coaches can be hard. If married wife has to know that town is small. For older coaches you gotta take on pay for retirement reasons pros not a lot of pressure to come win now. for a young coach chance to learn how to develop a program. Small school atmosphere is not a bad thing for families. For older coaches that might have rural roots chance to get back to that. everybody wants to win and win big but at the end of the day it’s about developing young men and help in making them great dads and husbands.

No bad teams left. now it’s about how you match up, playing sound o/d, not getting beat by alignment, making plays in critical situations, and getting lucky breaks. would love to see hardin play December football

Tark and shepherd could easily go north. Not to long ago they were in with center, jasper, and Huntington
