Crosby (69) @ Baytown Sterling (21) - FINAL

If he does not get approved through the normal process, yes he would be eligible 1 year from the date he "checked-in" to his new school. -

You have an interesting point and the numbers look good, but we have to agree this is the easier part of the schedule. That seems like a viable option to move Cyrin to WR, but does that help the team come playoff time when Crosby at 3rd or 4th seed and they have to play the 1st or 2nd seed in the other district? Sure Eudy will do great against GCM and probably LaPorte, but does he dramatically give Crosby a better chance come round 1? I would imagine that's the team goals, to do well in the playoffs. I say let Cryin finish out his senior year because replacing him I doubt make any impact come playoffs. On the other hand, playing Eudy gives him some reps as a starter for next year. However the same will apply next year, Crosby don't have athletes at the WR position. -

Not just the run, Crosby is near the bottom in the District with yards allowed (350+). Perhaps their overall scheme is not working -

I thought with last week play they would have stayed with Eudy, esp if Myles is sort of injured. -

So you telling me Crosby is dependent on a Sophomore (great talent tho) to anchor the defense? Where is the program and development of other defensive players? You can only expect so much from underclassmen, there have to be a balance of upper and underclassmen on offense and defense. -
Crosby would have to win the last 4 games, but PAM and BH have to lose the majority of their games and end with a 5-3 record. But there comes the dilemma, Crosby lost to both teams. With a tied record the break will go to..... The main challenge on their schedule should be LaPorte and hopefully all their starters are back for that game.

All those kids was my son's classmate until we transferred him (for academic reasons LOL) to Sterling Aviation High School in HISD. So I had a front row seat and seen all those kids for several years. My son played sports along side all the 2021 kids, but we focused on the 40 year plan and not the 4 year plan. Unfortunately they fell into a coaching change and didn't get the scholarships they rightfully deserved. It's hard to believe you compete for a 5A state title and only 1 kid go on to a D1 school (sources say he came from Goose Creek with that offer/interest already). It was COVID time, so academics should not have been the excuse, SAT/ACT and many other admission requirements were waived etc.... As I sat in the stands and watched the game last night, PA is a good team but Crosby would have beat them with Myles and Fontenot suited up. Good luck to all programs as they continue to compete for those playoff spots. -

No hate to Crosby fans or you MrFleet23, just stating the facts. Football - Dunn - moved here in 8th, Branch moved here in 11, FS Micheal Ray moved here in 7th, Jaylen Herman parents are from Northshore area, #11 LB Jamari Johnson, from Channelview, #8 DL Jeremiah Isaac move inβ¦β¦ The sun and moon just lined up perfectly for that 2021 group, gonna be hard to replicate that success. Branch was the tipping point for that group, once he came it really gave them a chance. He was the only one from that group that went D1 to UIW. Same in basketball for Crosby, PJ haggerty transferred to Crosby (for athletic reason π€£) from Goose Creek Memorial in 10th grade. -

I hear you, but that state run was a one-off! Crosby will need to maximize their local talent and more move-in talent to replicate anything close. Since the area is growing perhaps they can get more move-in talent. -
I agree with 90% of what you are saying and likewise my son transferred and got approved before the season started. It's amazing how you included "baselessly making claims of recruiting". I have no dog in this fight and just stated the obvious, you stand a chance to be found not guilty by the feds before you could get approved by UILπ. I didn't elude to anything about a kid, don't know him. I just stated facts about how the process works, don't have a kid at BH nor Crosby.

Sadly, this is just not limited to football and appears to be part of the Crosby culture. Case in point, Crosby let TWO D1 players go when the arrogant female basketball coach didn't want to work with the then future No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft. Yes, Crosby could've had a McDonald's All American and WNBA alumni. Kudos to BH for recognizing an opportunity. Her brother Casey also went on to USC as a lineman and now at OK State. Perhaps that female bball coach didn't know that Charli's Mom tried out for the WNBA (another athletic pedigree). Arrogance and Ignorance are paternal twins, when you see one you often see the other πππ!! More to follow...... -

I would imagine its gonna be tough to get UIL to approve the transfer this late in the season. Also, I would imagine BH would contest the PAPF for the transfer.

I agree with the demographic shift and I beg to differ Barrett Station does have the athletes, but the coaches..... You have the Samuel brothers that went to Goose Creek Mem last year. The Soph brother Nick caught 2 TDs in the loss for Goose Creek against Lee. The coaches had the older Samuel bro on the bench. I just seen a FB post of another Barrett parent about his son not getting enough playing time. The Dad (#22 for those that know, know who Duece Duece was) was a hellavu RB for Crosby back in the day and his son barely even touches the field... Thats what's happening to the Barrett kids, the coached are not playing the kids that come from an athletic pedigree. The have no clue of the history and talent pool in Barrett.
