Probably is a factor, but I agree previous coach seemed to schedule some teams for “win” percentage. Some of my Vidor friends describe wing t offense looking like an ant bed that has been stirred up.

I have felt all year this defense could be special, front seven are really solid, adjustments later in season helped the secondary. Offense is able to put good drives and wear down a defense. Always the threat of a big play happening. Best thing, they play as a team, believing and supporting each other. Coaching staff still making little adjustments.

Raiders will need another strong performance on both sides of the lines of scrimmage. Defense making strong stops and offense cashing in. Special team play keeping big plays in check. Looking good Raiders, don’t let up……

Good win by the Raiders. Game was predicted to be a close one. Raiders dominated from the start and pulled away. Defense shut down Athens early and Raiders offense responded. Had too many false starts on the line, something to practice on this week. Next up Needville…..

Hmmm, you have a Qb who has been in that position all season, you want to pull him out and put in another who hasn’t seen game action this year. Trust your coaches, trust your players. Silsbee hang tough, you’ve got this.

CH will keep giving the ball to RB, he has explosive speed if he gets into secondary. QB can run too. Defense will have to shut them down at the line of scrimmage.

He is a better passer, and transfer RB will be eligible for this game. Might provide some up tempo offense.

I can see HJ and Liberty exploring opting up to play on div 1 football because they have not been able to compete in their current district for some time. Not sure if opting up will help them but can’t blame the school, moral has to be low when it comes to their football programs.

I don’t think I have seen any Lumberton fans on here whining when they lost to two different state ranked teams this year, I do remember some whining going on about a team getting a beat regularly from WOS. That said coaches wanting to compete are not afraid of a good opponent, athletes naturally welcome a challenge.

Raiders will be ready for this one.

Don’t really know much about Athens, but they will be a much tougher opponent than Livingston. Both the OL and DL will need to win the battle in the trenches. Need to play smart cut out the stupid penalties. The old saying “practice make perfect” is even truer from this point on.

The last three Raider team’s has had a positive effect for the upcoming groups. All ways good for a program.
