Maybe someone should start a coaches rumor forum.

Hmmm, this brings back memories of when I was a kid and my mom and her friends had their regular morning coffee get together.

Especially if they were all impact players from the beginning.

Not sure when the last time if ever Raiders have had two D1 d line players. Maybe this is a sign of things to come.

Well I plan on getting to watch a few more games from this group of Raiders.

I think I have heard that there is a pretty talented one coming up. Just not familiar with those teams. Maybe it will be where they will pull up some of the younger players for the playoffs to expose them to the atmosphere of the game.

I think starting wr Breeden(jr) is backup this year, starting safety Wilson(jr) was backup last year. Not sure about the jv QB.

Friday will be a nice cool night for football. Jackson, Spencer and Stapleton will have the defensive gang ready to go. Powell, Kersh and Ward and the offensive crew will be ready to play. Raiders Friday Night Football

Let’s stick to the upcoming big game between Jasper and Silsbee. These two teams are who I thought would be fighting for the top spot. Jasper has rebounded from a rough start to the season, Silsbee has kept on track. Another good matchup before the playoffs begin.

Was wondering since the playoff picture will be complete this week, is there a ranking that shows all the other classications/div like 6a has (top 25). Would be interesting to see when the brackets come out.

The referees and coaches can help to set the tone for this game. They need to step up and keep the game flowing and keep things in check. Players just need to play the game and not get sucked into all this past history of bad events. Tigers, Bulldogs play the game don’t make a bad decision for yourself and your team. Good luck to both teams.

LCM should win against Huffman. RB addition should help them offensively come post season. Will it be enough I don’t know.

Raiders rest up and start focusing on the Lions for next Friday. Review LCM game to see what you need to improve on. Defense played a solid game overall. Offense had some good controlled drives. I think kickoff coverage team and receiving team are playing better ever game. Next up Lions, finish it Raiders.

Another factor for most school districts is the impact that non public schools are having. Lots of towns now have churches who are starting schools. Also home school is still happening. Parents move kids back and forth.

I was thinking the same thing. In fact I don’t think I would accuse any district without due diligence.

When I say more like Silsbee, I mean get into the game, get fired up, get the team fired up. Raider’s fan base has steadily grown in past few years, it is a good thing.

I wish Lumberton fan base would take notes from Silsbee, they are getting there. Student section is picking up their game also.

The whole situation at WOS added to the drama for transfers. Probably would have been same no matter where they went.

Missing players did hurt but basically starting out with a new OL was a big factor in Raiders first few games. OL getting their blocking down and returning players made a big difference.

No you are wrong about that, most times when an athlete transfers it will catch the attention of opposing coaches. Coaches are usually real careful to make sure everything is correct and signed off on. I know of several instances that have went to the UIL for clarification.
