Raider players and coaches are going have to commit to working to improve on the things that they see when they watch the game films. Pretty sure this group will not just be satisfied with making it to the playoffs, the bar has been set. But they have a lot they need to improve on. And they need to start working now, putting in the extra work if they want to make a run.

Vidor is hard to gauge because other than Silsbee not familiar with these schools they scheduled. But they are winning.

I agree, good to see that they are improving and not satisfied with staying status quo. Hope they are practicing hard and staying focused, all of them. A few still need to get in shape because of missing early part of season due to injuries.

Lumberton’s OL starting to get things figured out, seen lineman staying with their blocks and going down field with the play looking for someone to block. Also on a play that Tatum LB stunted thru the gap on passing play, RB made the block and allowed QB to complete pass . Defense made adjustments and controlled the line of scrimmage. Lot less penalties.These are the types of things that a good team will do. 👍👍👍👍

I agree that those teams will be the ones to finish 1-4. Lumberton should go undefeated. Keep thinking LCM will get lined out. Vidor looks to be 2-3.

Should be the best game in our area for sure.

Jasper has played the more challenging pre district schedule. If they had played same teams as HF, probably would have identical records. If both teams are full force, no injuries; I would pick Jasper to pull out a close win.

Much respect to Tatum, players were tired but they did not give up. The way game started I was expecting a shoot out. Defense stepped up and was able to shut down the run. Offense were able to drive the ball and wear out defense. This game was a game between two coaching friends. Best of luck to Tatum going into district play. Lumberton enjoy the night. Start getting ready to defend your district championship.

Going to be hot on the visitor side for a while. Might want to stay in your car with a/c on for a while.

Both schools should gain from this game. Lumberton still has things to improve on and I am sure Tatum also. The flexbone will give the defense a different test. I think this will be first game that Lumberton has everybody back, so that is a good thing.

I want to see Raiders OL staying with their blocks, everyone moving until play is blown dead. Need to cut out the penalties on both sides of the ball. Take it one game at a time with the goal to improve every game. Raiders you got this, stay focused, play hard.

DCTF has Silsbee a 13 pt favorite. And Silsbee has that swagger look this year so……

Silsbee is loaded at the receiver position and the QB is able to get the ball to them. So that means the offensive line is doing their job. Coach Smith has done a good job developing his linemen.

Silsbee’s pre district schedule did end up being easier than years past. 3 of the 4 have been good matchups in years past, just ended being down years for them. Would have been good for Silsbee to have faced a really good defense.

I think Lumberton is improving on things and I am expecting better play from here on out. Hope LCM the same.

Entirely possible, been to a lot of Silsbee games over the years. I will quit being upset at Coach over that one.

Has been a bitter rivalry between Jasper, Silsbee & WOS for many years. No matter who was the dominant team was it was going to be some intense moments during the game. This one will be no different. I am still upset at a certain Silsbee coach who was whipping Jasper big time in early 90’s and would not take McQuire out and he got hurt before playoffs.

Serious question here. How do you think LCM would have fared with Raiders opponents so for?

I know why they dropped just saying a Jasper win over Franklin is a lot stronger than HF win over Splendora. Fixing to be a whole new season starting for everyone/ district play.

If Jasper can pull off the win this week I would think they would be ranked ahead of HF next week.

I am hoping Coaching staff will be able to make adjustments and get the Raiders lined out. Too much talent on the field. Might take some playing both ways. Go Raiders
