It's a process. Is it fair? Probably not but life isn't fair either. Scouts know what they want, maybe Chatman isn't what some want right now, but that doesn't diminish his accomplishments. Personally I don't care what you do with cones & drills, but many value this crap. Can you make a play is the bottom line. Getting on here whining won't fix anything, it may rub off on the kids if it hasn't already. My son got the ball as the starting RB 41 times this past season. That's All. But with those few reps & a few passes he put together some Quality plays & produced a little film, went to camps to enhance his recruitment. It worked, he's being recruited. No offers, but he's been noticed. So please guys get off the soapbox. We are raising Men to find solutions, not find excuses & make problems. That's what I'm doing in SETX, don't know about the rest of the State

You really shouldn't feel salty about your boy not getting an offer yet. DeUnte Chatman blew your son's score away and he doesn't have an FBS offer yet. He produced more at a better program but doesn't have the film to prove that he's more than just a good athlete. He's 6ft and over 200 lbs as a junior so he doesn't have size issues either. Austin Walter could've rushed for 3k yards this year and should have had his pick of schools but being 5-8 and under 180 lbs at the time of the camp hurt him. Recruiters tell kids things sometime as just a fall back in case they can't get the kids they want. It's hard to get an offer at RB especially when you have kids at the same camp like the 2016 back from Kingwood already beating your score.

VNUPE can give you all the info you want. Unless you have a ton of film like Deionte Thompson or you're 6-2 with a hawk's wingspan it probably won't help.

Where are all the Tony Brown Hatters? A Beaumont kid that will more then likely be starting at Alabama this season as a FRESHMAN  and just a few comments. If he would have gotten beat for a touch down on National TV, this Topic would have five pages of negative comments...SMH.....

Im hearing Todd Dodge may be working his way down to Austin Westlake.

Dayton will be up for the challenge this year, If they get Nederland in the first round. Dayton will be district Champs again.. Now that, that 5A SC has moved up to 6A and out of our district.  :D

I think people here are missing the obvious. First of all, Strong never offered Shaw so he had every right to pull the offer, just like he did on Aaron Garza who's a lot more sought after than Shaw. Second, put the film on. Last year texas signed John Bonney who I had right behind Paris and Adams as the 3rd best safety in the state, they also signed Kevin Shorter who if healthy will play safety, and another safety in Jason hall. This year the Horns have commitments from Deshon Elliot who is a safety now but might end up at OLB, Kirk Johnson who's a rb right now but I expect to move to safety, and Keivon Ramsey who's listed as a corner but is really a guided missle with a helment that will also probably play safety. As bad as it sounds to say, Shaw just isn't needed anymore and probably wouldn't play at Texas in front of most of these guys.

Tony did a great job today! Heard from a VERY reliable source that he is the third best corner on the team right now. And the best corner is currently injured.

Just letting y'all know Tony Brown got an interception in today's spring game. Things look pretty promising for him.

I agree that you don't want to burn bridges...but how is it the fault of coach strong? He has to put his own spin on what is now his recruiting class. It would be different if Mack were still there and pulled it. But in today's world of win now attitude in bigtime college athletics, if Strong didnt see Shaw capable of playing and contributing for Texas I don't see a major problem with it. He has the right to evaluate kids and do as he feels best for his program.

The junior class (sophmores now) are a great group of boys. They work good together. Like I said during this past season after they got moved back down to jv they never lost again. And the quarterback is so ready for the season
