I truly wish the best for 409 teams and especially those from OC. Until we meet each other, if that happens. i think the BC hate comes from a weak preseason schedule, then all the hype and talk about BC being the Cinderella team in the District. Only to lose to LCM and HH. As well as all the repetitive talk about refs and Peevey. It gets exhausting after a while. i am probably the biggest ref critic out there, but we have to realize, that’s a tough job and that’s why not many do it. We also need to remember that some of these players (kids) read these forums. They are just kids playing the game they love. The kids didn’t make the choice to avoid Silsbee, WOS, or Jasper….adults did. lets go 409, OC, and GO BEARS!!!!

This game had all the things a football game should have. HH is on a different level. Sure, the D was spotty, but I think the LCM game plan had more to do with that. You could tell early on that HH fans knew something was up. Out LCM fans rocked it all night. Even when our boys were down we kept going. This is the second time we’ve been told not to do something in the stands and it only got louder. So HATS OFF to all the Battlin’ Bearnatics!!!! This group of kids are phenomenal at LCM. With all the adversity and talk around town about this and that, they just keep grinding. They are truly a Jekel and Hyde team, but when the beasts need to come out, they do. As for BC, be like Elsa and Let it Go! We can pick apart every play and find something. That game was not decided by that one play. Y’all scored right after that and went back up. Sure, we scored too, but when yall had the ball for the last 3 minutes, yall abandoned what got you there. So that’s on yall, not us.

I mean, seriously. Yes yall leveled up….played preseason 2 levels down, playing well in district and still can’t keep from talking about LCM. This is why I say Vidor needs to give us the moniker “League Villains”. BC just can’t focus on BC.😂😂😂😂

I’m just gonna throw my 2¢ in here. Someone said it. Nothing a couple of wins won’t cure. Folks, Peevey told yall at the parent meeting, EXPECT losses in pre district. I won’t talk about what’s going on with favoritism and punishment because I don’t know. I will say this, this Bears team has the potential to be the best he’s had yet. They fly to the ball, they push hard, and they play for each other. Bone headed penalties have killed us these last 2 games, no doubt. But all this bickering online will be the death of us. I saw people boo the refs on a blatant penalty. STOP. I call it like I see it. Cowbell or no cowbell. If it’s your son, talk to him after the game. Tell him what you saw. But this mess on this thread needs to stop. Go Bears

There is a solid solid group coming. Freshmen and JV. Plus Damarion’s lil brother.

Payne will be Landry 2.0. I don’t care what happened in Lumberton. Lumberton won and that’s it. They shut LCM down. Kudos. Next year it’s back to mediocrity. Save this if you want and come back at me next year, that’s just what I believe. LCM is dominant from 9th on up this year. The future is bright. Heck, Mauriceville Middle School has a solid group coming the next two years.

Look….it’s no secret that based off of last year that this year has been…..different. However, each year is gonna be different. LCM needs to stick to the run first. That can open up the pass, but with Kilgores secondary, we want to keep that at a minimum. For those saying this is the same ol Bears….don’t let the let down fool ya. These Bears scrap it out. Lumberton was a different story. They had our number from the jump.

While the Bears have had a different season, up until now, than last season, they can still very much win this game. One must look at the games they lost. Sure WOS is a shell of itself now, but was very much on point early on. Kincaid is a whole different beast in and of itself. Don’t believe me. Do some research. And VIDOR…..they play everyone me tough. That’s just their style. Our Battlin Bears have all the weapons to handle Lumberton. They just have to play solid ball.
