Silsbee played Wilmer Hutchins before way back in the day. it was a playoff game played at SFA gym in Nacadoges, if I remember correctly.

Wilmer Hutchins beat SOC, so are they next?

Silsbee will also play Dallas SOC before they get to Lincoln, should they get by Waxahachie first. I saw a tweet that said SOC hi sch beat lincoln 56 51 this season. I haven't seen any evidence of this game anywhere else besides that tweet.

Tom Savage is not that bad a QB. He needs more game time experience. The same was said about Osweiler but Savage is a much better passer than Brock. It was not Savage's fault that the Texans offense played so poorly against Cincinnati. The Texans O line does not pass block all that well. Also, the Bengals have one of the best front 7 defenses around. They should being that they have been stockpiling top ten first round picks for ten years or more. That was not the best time to have an inexperienced QB under center. I've been waiting for Tom Savage to get his chance for the past 2.5 to 3 years. If he gets more gametime experience reading defenses he could become a very good quarterback. If he doesn't, well it is just football.

What the conservatives fail to realize, and liberals too for that matter, is that the real powers that be control both sides of the aisle, both sides of the political spectrum. They got you trapped in a Hegelian dialectic. They are keeping you occupied with bickering left vs right, poor vs rich, blacks vs white. Meanwhile while you are busy wasting energy and focus on all that they, the people who really control things, are busy forming a new world order that they control. No matter who won the election they are in control. their plans will go forward.

I take that back. i am paying taxes on some old family land & property. So I do have a little skin in the game.

I don't know. I should change it. I thought of the name kountzer long time ago. It has sort of become an alter identity. I have a email address with that name that is old. I was born in Kountze. Kountze has gone out & won 3 or 4 basketball championships in my lifetime. I have always respected that. So I stuck a 'r' on the end of kountze and became kountzer. it has an esoteric quality to it. People from other parts call it countzer. You know how contrary peeps can be. Back in the day me & the guys on the streets of Silsbee were always praising the Kountze Lions b ballers because they got it done. The ole 'the grass is always greener' syndrome. Don't get it twisted though, anymore than it already is. Silsbee is all I know. My Silsbee roots are deep.

Aight, Aight I don't know why I swerved over into school allocations & stuff. I should of stayed in my lane. I left Silsbee at 19 for the US Coast Guard. I've basically been a visitor ever since. I never really got to participate in local politics. When I left MLK was frensenius road. I've heard stories, but it is not the same as having real skin in the game. The basketball team usually goes the deepest in the playoffs than any other team sport. I'm sure that is taken into consideration when funding and budgets are discussed.

I was leaving the TSU gym after the Silsbee v HC game & the Episcopal HS team was getting on a luxurious chartered bus, & they're right in Houston.

I'll have to look up where that school is. I've forgotten. Silsbee played & won a playoff game there five years or so ago. The opponent was Bryan Rudder I think, or a Lufkin school. That was the only game I got to see DC Stallworth play.

It says Saturday Jan. 7th at 7:30pm. If that's the case I might can make it to this game.

Missed free throws is a concern, but like I said what can you do about it? If they can't shoot em (fts) by now you pretty much have to live with that. All the rest is msg board yadda yadda. Makes for good discussion. I'm sure Coach Sigler is allocated a certain budget for this season. Is it a fair allocation? Who knows? Not going there. I'm sure he would of bust out the credit card for hotel rooms if he could.
