If you would bother to look at the list of all the all-tourney teams, you would see players that made it that lost in the semis that did not have as good of numbers as Stallworth had. ::) It was a glaring omission.
Perhaps you're right.  I haven't been to but two state tournaments.  After Silsbee lost my interests in high school boys basketball went South til next season.  At this point it is splitting hairs over water under the bridge.

3.
Silsbee will have to go through Cleveland, who was young this year returning 4 starters and Hardin Jefferson once again...The window is getting smaller and smaller for them, but who knows..I really feel they were BETTER last year, and got the job done a year too late....Don't know about Spurger, they ARE fairly young too, but they really got man handled versus Cayuga...Can't assess them after seeing them play only once, because honestly they looked real average against Cayuga, but in their defense that is not hard to do against a team like that one!
That's almost a repeat of what people were saying about Cleveland this time last year. It is hard to get all the ingredients together at one time.  One year you have great guards and shooting.  The next year you have the BIGS.  It is always something.  They are going to miss Avory Thomas, and Pheal Hill.  I said the same when William Harper left a few years ago.  Somebody in the ranks, from lil dribblers, on up, will step up.  Hopefully sooner than later.
4. When the season starts I pay attention to where SETX sports and other forums rank them, namely Silsbee.  Then about Jan u can tell if they are going to make some noise or not.  Some tell tale games is how they do against Kountze, HJ and the bigger schools in beaumont, also the tournaments. You really can't tell by what they lost to graduation.  I didn't think they would do that well this year after they lost Shannon robison, etc.  Someone will step up, hopefully.
5. I wanted to see Ponder.  I've heard a lot about them.  They are impressive.
6. Yates is pulling away with 2:00 left.  they may even reach 100 again.
7. Fox Sports: too many people logging, and they don't have enough bandwidth to handle it all.
8.

Congrats Tigers on a great season Im with the ones that say this was the championship game. Clearly IMOP the best two in the tourney
In Class 3-A you're speaking about, right?
Of course 3A.  You Yates jock riders got a one track mind. yeah I said it.
9. 30 25 Estacado leading.  Estacado can take this game if they want to.
10. Good game Silsbee Tigers.  I stayed home and listened to it.  I wish I could have seen it.  So close and yet so far.  After last year I wasn't expecting this run, at all.  We gonna miss those Seniors: Hill, Avory, Jones.  The guys will step up in the future, starting next season.  They always do.
11. I can't place you Boogy1000.  I want to think you're a young person, but if you know all that stuff, you been around at least a minute.  So much for that. Herb Sapp, Jr?  I didn't know this person existed.  I haven't seen Herb Sr, again, in a minute.  In fact, I think the last time we spoke we were sitting in the stands watching a game that has been mentioned here a few times: Silsbee vs. PA Lincoln & Steve Jackson, back in the day. I just saw someone named Jerry Howard, Jr on facebook.  Both Herb and Jerry Srs. were class of '73.  Ask either one about Michael Dabney, and or David Brown.  They can tell you.
12. Better to have a team playing in Austin, than to be watching from the sidelines.
13. That Tiger team peaked too soon.  They were trying to hard to stay undefeated, and stay # 1.  That # 1 ranking is like an albatross around your neck if you don't know how to handle it.  I saw them 2 or 3 times.  They should of played some really good 5a team and lost a few times.  Then build up steam for the playoff run.
14. I've never been to the 'new' SHS, or any of its facilities.  The only games I've been to in recent years have been playoff games at neutral gyms.
15. I saw the '72 team play and lose to Odessa Ector.  Ector had a quick point guard who danced to the bucket with all sorts of fancy moves.  The Tigers came apart as a result. The only other time I went was to see the Girls play; I guess against Cleburne.  The girls team was getting all the attention back then.
16. Prudhome and Sutherland will make noise for HJ next year.
17. I saw that '95 PA Lincoln team one time.  That was when they beat Silsbee in the Region III championship, 68 to 62.  It was a lot closer than that.  Damien Bush of Sislbee was a Sr.  Steve Jackson was a Jr.  He played for Oak Hill Academy the next year, then on to the NBA.  The rest is history. PA Lincoln put out better teams than that IMO.
18. The D Mad players put on their uniforms, and lace up their sneakers just like the Tigers.  Occasionally upsets do happen.  Silsbee can beat Madison.  Why not?  It can happen.  It will happen.
19.
If nw faces ponder it will be a tough game for them, Ponder very sound and basketall savy, they do the little things, slow tempo type team that slows teams down just like nw.
I've heard a lot about Ponder.  I know they have been a prominent 2A team for the past few years, maybe longer than that.  So, they are a deliberate, slowdown team?  I figured they were running and pressing.  I have to go see them play one of these days.
20. Fox sports, or espn hopefully will broadcast this game.
21. You gotta go through Madison, or a team strong enough to take out Madison.  Either way it won't be easy.
22. Yep, if a coach can take more than one team to state that is not just luck and talent, that's skill.
