I stumbled upon the picture that I mentioned on Facebook. I really have not been following basketball much since Silsbee lost at region III finals. I knew that all these charter schools had something to do with school vouchers and the politics surrounding that issue. When FF first showed up on the scene I knew pro school voucher group had taken it to another level. I had a feeling that Governor Abbott , and Paxton, and the other guy, (ex radio host) were in on this. Dan Patrick, that's his name. So, just as I suspected FF has some political heavy weights backing them up. I am not surprised at all.

FFAs coach came over from a big time Dallas high school that has won a lot, and had to forfeit a championship at one time. I think it is Kimball. So the coach and his staff have experience doing what they do, only now it is legal. Also, there is a picture on facebook put up by the UIL that shows shows all of the conference championship teams for this year. Every conference is listed but, 4A is conspicuously absent.

I realize I am just an arm chair coach, but…I think BTW should have gone straight at FF by pounding it in against their big guy. It might have worked. It could have back fired also. It is a better strategy than starting the game pressing and shooting long balls. Get big dude for FF in trouble then work on Toppin. Too late for all that now though.

Those Att channels like 639 on Xfinity are having trouble staying solvent while carrying the World Series Champs Astros and the Rockets. So you know showing the UIL championship games will not help them any. t

I think Silsbee would have at least one more championship if FF had not showed up out of no where.

It is hard to hit 3s when you are tired.

If a player has pro like skills a double team should not phase him that much.

LH is a gangsta. BU will have to dig deep inside and pull up some historical resolve to get it done. I say BU by 3.

BTW is playing like this is their first trip to state, which is understandable.

I am not trying suggest something is wrong, just seeking clarity. I don't understand how Hitchcock, which has a population of 7,000, has a high school with only 490 or so enrollment. Must be a lot of private schools in that area.

From what I've heard the problem is parking and hotel space for both the state tournament and the SXSW music festival.

Whatever you do Dre and whenever you do it, get that degree, or be well on your way to getting it if a good chance at the NFL comes along. Engineering, IT/computers, History, sociology whatever.
