I am not trying suggest something is wrong, just seeking clarity. I don't understand how Hitchcock, which has a population of 7,000, has a high school with only 490 or so enrollment. Must be a lot of private schools in that area.

From what I've heard the problem is parking and hotel space for both the state tournament and the SXSW music festival.

Whatever you do Dre and whenever you do it, get that degree, or be well on your way to getting it if a good chance at the NFL comes along. Engineering, IT/computers, History, sociology whatever.

This is true. It could happen in spring drills, during 7 on 7, anytime. That's the nature of the beast. A person could lightly jog across campus and tear and ACL. I don't want to give legs to this, but there's a 2nd elephant in the room. If Dre leaves Jared may do the same.

A really good basketball player has to be lucky enough to have a mentor or coach to guide them early. AAU and lil dribblers probably do as much harm as good.

Drelon is all state in basketball now. If he pursued basketball full time he would be off the charts.

All I know is lil Payton gonna get his. Dre will handle his. Harris will too. Ashton CartWright. Another Cartwright. 3 or 4 good players from the JV. That's a championship. The NIL gonna be there regardless.

I’d been hearing about Devon. When I first saw him he was a 5’8” water bug, dashing all over the court. “Is that the guy everyone is talking about?” Then he came down and hit some swirling lay up against a really big post from Bellaire. The ball rolled around the rim 3 or 4 times before it went in Devon was headed to the other end. He knew it was going in without looking. Then Devon grew to 6’3” 210lbs, with guard skills. If he had a stop & pop outside shot he’d be on national TV like Kendric Davis, making a $ million in NIL. A play that I’ll never forget. Devon is down low on the block, battling for rebounds against Carter in the state championship game. He makes an outlet pass to Chris Martin who is dribbling down full court with his right hand with a Carter defender on his left flank. Chis scored with a fundamentally perfect right hand lay up. Could he have done that from the left? I hope so. Plays like that help win championships.

Jones could provide a consistent outside shot. That would free up Miller and Harris. Everything is tentative. A lot could happen between now and next season. Next season could be a good time, or it could be back to not so good times. BTW coach Vince Grayson is seen as a basketball whisperer in North Houston. He has some height coming back. This season for them ain't over with for them. If a team plays some consistent basketball against FF they can be beat, at least this season. Maybe next season as well.
