It takes a team with a good pg to play Yates. Same for playing Silsbee. I saw Yates try to rough up and press Sahvir Wheeler when they played Houston Christian. Sahvir ate them alive. I think Braylon Bush can do the same. We shall see.

Back in the day, before the internet, being able to navigate on those long playoff trips was an art form. Now all you do is look it up via google maps. Figure out what route you gonna take, then set the gps to back you up. Piece of cake.

Yates got that 6'7" big man who can sky, Mitch. They got Jock Hughes who is 6'4". He has good hops and a nice 3 pt shot. They good a good guard in up and coming Ruben Jones. They got some more sub players that can also hoop and take it to the hoop. I don't see WOS handling all that. At the 4A level, maybe......nobody can. Hopefully I am wrong. We will see soon.

Heard a salacious rumor about the Silsbee OC at the game Monday in Livingston. I've only heard it that one time. This thread is the only other proof that it is true.

Drive to Livingston then drop into Kingwood on 59 South. You will mostly going against traffic.

I don't live far from Scarborough. There are not many parks & places to run hoop in that area. Maybe their coach opens the gym for them.

As a rule I don't trip on teams from other regions, like Center or Brazosport. Waco Connally is an unknown. So is Scarborough. None of these teams are going to rollover and give Silsbee the trophy. gotta go out there and earn it.

The Tigers' defense is better since the las time I saw them. They are shooting better too, although Bush wasn't on from the 3 pt line. If Silsbee plays their game from here on out they can get back to SA. Good game, good season to Huntington.

The refs let Huntington get away with some flagrant fouls in the bi district game last year.

I really can't answer to that being I haven't been there to see for myself. Silsbee keeps up with contemporary folkways & mores via music, television, the internet etc. So, anything is possible.

They should be more tightly regulated, for sure.
