  1. Yep, we went to IHOP. It's funny. No one over hear in H Town knows what I am so happy about. When I tell them they give me that distant "oh yeah" response. I am happy for coach Sigler. He was crying and emotional in interviews just after the game. He has been criticized, maligned and second guessed a lot over the years. I am sure it will continue to a certain extent, but guess what? No one can erase that state championship from his resume.
  2. A nice growth spurt or a tall transfer in would be nice. The four returnees of Kalon Barnes, D McCain, Bray Bush, and Jordyn Adams is a nice nucleus to build around in Smoke Town. Worry about that in October. Just won state yesterday.
  3. Having the most state championships in Hardin county or SE Texas is not the end all, be all many make it out to be, not to me anyway. I just wanted to see silsbee get one. That'll hold me for awhile. And if they win another one that's cool too.
  4. For all the reasons stated it was crucial to win it all this year. They say the 1st championship is the hardest. I am personally not concerned with # 2 state title, not now anyway. Why u used the word disobedient?
  5. I don't even know who made all tournament 4A. having said that, my thoughts on all state: I think B Bush, and Jordyn Adams will make all state 1st team, along with Rossow. Harris will prolly get state as well, along with Quick from Brazosport. Priddy from Argyle will be on that list somewhere. Who else? Maybe that dude from Lincoln with the hard name. He still has some name recognition from last year and this year. Kalon Barnes and Willie Jones. When you win state you get the lions share of those picks. Cooper from Brazosport will be on there, maybe even 1st team. My .02. I am not that up on choosing basketball talent. Feel free to correct me where I am wrong. ..Oh yeah Mitch Seriale from Yates, 1st team. That player for Yates who shoots the 3 ball well, he maybe on there too.
  6. Yes, thanks to AAW & all the staff at SETXSports. Myself & a lot of other fans would not be as informed and connected were it not for this forum.
  7. I first became aware of Silsbee basketball state championships, or the lack there of, (until now) in 1969 when Kountze won state. That's 48 years of frustration. Thank you coach Sigler for leading the team to the championship. Thanks to the players on the team as well, along with all the other fans like me. Starting to sound like the oscars, lol. I am glad to see this, you just don't know.
  8. State champs! I saw it! Very good win Silsbee! Coach Sigler looked like he was crying in his post interview. I understand. Worry about the future in the future. Enjoying this chmapionship right now.
  9. I could not get the online NFHS to work until the 2nd qtr. It looks good now though.
  10. Good win Silsbee. I don't want to talk until the next game is over.
  11. It is not over by a long shot. Brazosport been playing very good ball all year long. Regarding Argyle, Silsbee should try and play them every year, earlier in the season.
  12. I'm going to try that before the game(s) tomorrow.
  13. I tried that last night. It didn't work at first, but later it did.
  14. I hope you're right.
  15. timberview up 66 to 46, closing minute. My bruh & sis n law & family live in South Arlington. My niece is a sr at Timberview. Nice area.
  16. I saw Damien Bush, young Bush's dad, play for Silsbee in 95. When and how he got to town I don't know. I love my hometown of Silsbee, but I've been living in H Town for a minute, so I ain't up on the daily details. But if young Bush's dad was in Silsbee in 95, shoot homeboy is from Silsbee. People in small country towns have long memories though. I don't remember Willie Jones II at all. I think someone said he played on the same team as Bush Sr. That's how that thing goes. Silsbee & other small towns have been feeding dna, players etc., to Beaumont, Houston, and even Dallas Austin, and San Antonio for many years. Have all the players in WOS been born & raised in the city limits? I doubt it., but that's 'nother whole Oprah Winfrey special. No I am not implying someone is cheating. Moving around to a certain extent is basic human nature.
  17. Did Yates ever slow down at all, or did they run the whole game?
