timberview up 66 to 46, closing minute. My bruh & sis n law & family live in South Arlington. My niece is a sr at Timberview. Nice area. -
I saw Damien Bush, young Bush's dad, play for Silsbee in 95. When and how he got to town I don't know. I love my hometown of Silsbee, but I've been living in H Town for a minute, so I ain't up on the daily details. But if young Bush's dad was in Silsbee in 95, shoot homeboy is from Silsbee. People in small country towns have long memories though. I don't remember Willie Jones II at all. I think someone said he played on the same team as Bush Sr. That's how that thing goes. Silsbee & other small towns have been feeding dna, players etc., to Beaumont, Houston, and even Dallas Austin, and San Antonio for many years. Have all the players in WOS been born & raised in the city limits? I doubt it., but that's 'nother whole Oprah Winfrey special. No I am not implying someone is cheating. Moving around to a certain extent is basic human nature.

Silsbee vs Argyle 4A State Semi Final

Just win it all one time Silsbee. The rest will take care of itself. -
Cy Falls and Silsbee for me too. I had never paid attention to Cy Falls until i saw that game highlight of Andrew Nguyen putting down that spin move in the open court. Very nice move. He has some nice highlights: handles, rangy outside shot, moves to the bucket, nice passes and assists, uniqueness. High light videos can be tricky though. Is he very good because he's very good? Or does he stand out because he is good and unique? I don't know. Touchy subject. As far as i can tell he has a good balanced game and should do well now, and at the next level. Maybe even the level after that. A good, rangy jump shot will take you a long ways these days. He has some talented team mates as well.

Back in the 70s when Dan Montgomery was the coach. Silsbee ran a disciplined, half court offense. The main emphasis was for the pt guard to bring the ball down and make an entry pass to the strong post. There was the strong post, weak post, high post and I pt guard and the corner guy. I left and went to the military. I am not sure what type offense coaches like Fred Williams ran. Somewhere along the way coach Sigler came in and Silsbee has been running and pressing every since. Coach Sigler's winning percentage is good and the game is entertaining. It looks a bit undisciplined at times, but what do I know? -

I am going to try and chill until Saturday night. Then I am going to look up the results. If I like them I'll look at the replays. If not it was a great season. -

Yeah you're right. Argyle is better in football than they are in basketball. They are probably really good in baseball too. Like I said that's a model program. -

The UIL needs to add a shot clock. That's not happening between now and Friday at 3:00pm. Argyle is a wily team. They are disciplined, fundamentally strong, they shoot well, probably hit a good percentage of their free throws, efficient. They are always in the top ten, girls and boys, and not just in basketball. Academics, band they do it all in Argyle. Model school, model school district. Don't take them lightly. Things are good in Silsbee too. Beat D Lincoln this year. Leave the 'D" off, that's the only Lincoln around in Texas, that I know of. Lincoln is out of it now, but that is significant, to me anyway. Same for beating Yates. You have to savor victories like that. Also the fact that Silsbee made it to the final game last year. In the words of James Cleveland ... come too far from where.. started from. Nobody told me that the road would be easy,.. Well, it is Sunday, somebodie's sabbath. Let's do this. -
I started to drive out to that game. You really can't say what happened unless you saw it yourself. I probably would of gotten there just after it all happened. # 3 messed up. Maybe he was reacting to something that happened to a team mate. I don't know. The last guy is usually the one who gets caught. Gotta win it all or it will come back. Stuff can really blow up in the digital age. Somebody is always going to have something to say. You gotta be strong and ignore that stuff. Tired of rehashing all this. Let the wounds heal.

Cypress Falls 55 Atascocita 45/FINAL

I just saw highlights of Andrew Nguyen for Cy Falls, aka the asian sensation. He's good. Nice spin move. I mostly keep up with Silsbee boys basketball and their opponents. i don't keep up with Cypress & Katy. There's a lot of talent out there I'm sure. -
Boring, but they won a state championship with that style maybe 8 to 10 years ago.
-
Argyle sounds like a slow down team with good shooters.

I thought for sure Paris would make it to the state tournament.
-
He's been accused of that too.

republicans & trump just screwed 22,600 retired coal workers

"But there’s been silence from the White House as over 22,000 retired coal miners and the surviving family members of dead miners received a horrifying surprise in their mailboxes on March 1st. They were just notified that both their retirement benefits and medical benefits would no longer be honored after 60 days." -
meanwhile trump busy playing footsies with putin.

Paris made it through DFW, cool. D Lincoln has at least four state titles in its history, and who knows how many trips to the state tournament. The way talent flows through Dallas, u can be sure they will be back.
