Local AAA District is going to be fun.... With Kountze playing the transfer portal better than anybody this year I will give them a slight edge over EC & Ofield. Its a little bit surprising not to see HJ on a preseason top 25. Good luck to all teams starting practice tomorrow.

Only in football.... they are really bad in everything else right now. I think the basketball team only won 2 or 3 games the whole season last year, baseball was about the same.

Orangefield Graduated a ton of guys last year. I am sure they will be formidable, but I believe this is a little bit high.

Can anyone confirm this? We had 2 guys from BISD not get cleared last year. I find this a little unfair.

Ill let you do the math here, HF went from being one of the worst HS Teams in the state of Texas for about a decade (maybe more) now all of a sudden in the last 5 years they are competing for district titles........ come on man. Yes we have been known to get some move-ins but we have a proud and successful tradition in Winnie, TX.

With the amount of Beaumont transfers they have gotten the last 4 or 5 years its hard for me to respect what they do. They win a bunch of games early based on a significant gap in talent then they get popped quickly in the playoffs

2 things here that I saw tonight 1.They are a tough & fast football team, they look a lot like some of the previous Kirbyville teams when they were rolling everybody 2. We either were unmotivated or unprepared for this game, I have not seen this lackluster of a performance in a long time for the Bucs. I hope we get things right, this district seems a little more balanced than it has in years past.
