Stewart was a great football coach. No doubt about it. The players trusted and respected him. They also would run through a brick wall for him if he demanded it. When he resigned the program was rudderless. Dayton needs an inspirational leader who will put together a good staff and most importantly LET THEM DO THEIR JOBS.

Agree. Now that skill position players will remain Broncos.

Vernon Harrison and Carson Horton deserve the lions share for success. I believe the Broncs went backwards this past season. Go back and watch the Brenham game in the first round. Maybe someone can explain the game plan to me.

I have firsthand knowledge of three skill players who will remain Broncos because this guy is gone. Rumors of more moving in. We’ll see.

I’ve watched a couple of bronco games. One that stands out is the Brenham game last year. Light rain. Wind blowing like crazy. Cold as heck. Dayton comes out passing like there’s no tomorrow. Meanwhile one of the best if not THE best running back touches the ball less than ten times. Most being in the final few minutes of the game. It made no sense.

No guessing to it.

Well then listen good. Jerry Stewart was a great coach. He won against teams with obviously more talent than he had on his team. Hence…..read it real slowly….Jerry Stewart was a GREAT coach. This guy…..
