Only thing I'll disagree with is the score and the comment about the WOS line size. The O Line is big, especially at the tackle spot. The lineman on Washington's side is massive and a 3 year starter (Heard). It'll be a battle in the trenches.

From everything I've heard, WOS will stay in the 50. We've always dropped the rover into coverage in situations which would give you a 4 man front. I didn't see the scrimmage, but I'd guess that's what happened. If WV was throwing it around or were in passing situations often that would explain it.

I really don't see how it WONT be Toby. The community has made it known who their choice is. To go against them would be professional suicide. I don't think the sup will have a choice in the matter if he has a lick of sense. -

Mr Reagan, this is pretty simple. You've obviously, stated your dislike of Toby due to what you perceive as failure in the win/loss columns. If you are a resident of the WOS district then make your feeling known in the community. Spend your dime on promoting who you'd like to see in there. If you aren't, then why are you so concerned? You know the community wants Toby, if they are wrong, then, it's on them. If the sup/SB go a different route, then I'm not sure that the other coach could EVER achieve the level of success it would take to appease the constituents. That's just real talk. I've said all along I think it should go to the most qualified individual. From what I know of those who've applied, Toby is it, hands down, when you apply the standards the district has posted publicly COMBINED with the fact Toby is home grown. He stands alone in either facet. If you're an outside fan, get behind the community because I have a feeling it'll be Toby unless something more sinister is involved. And, if your not, pray your right and you have something to look forward to for the next few years. Lol -

It's good that people are making their feelings known. The school board needs to know the wishes of their constituents. -

Not all "facts" are as plain as the paper they are on.... CT was not successful at Palestine prior to coming back to WOS. Briles was not successful at Georgetown before landing in SVille. Dodge was not successful at NT. Success (wins/losses) are not the only indicator of future success, especially when there are many, many more dynamics at play. It's case by case. -

I'm not sure that he wouldn't get consideration if he applied. I'm sure all guys that are in house would if they applied. What people say here are just fan opinions. -

I dont think anyone is jumping yet. I just think that, if the right choice isn't made, it could very well happen. -

As have I, as well as played in the program and coached in it, too. I am just being realistic. -

It wouldn't have mattered. Palestine or not, Thompson was the aire to the job. -

Correct, that example is apples and oranges. Stephenville was a doormat before Briles. Carthage was average at best before Surrat, change was needed at those programs. Not the case at WOS. -

At the time Toby had no HC experience and Thompson had been the backbone of the program for decades. The right (and only) choice at the time was Thompson. Now Foreman has the experience. Its his time. -

If this is true, it could make or break the sups career. Surely this isn't true. The Silsbee coach has 0 head coaching experience. He better not turn the keys to that program over to an outsider with no experience. -

It is, because your not the first person to mention that. Sure wish the UIL would not have abandoned mandatory testing. That way there wouldn't be any question. -

I'll say this, too. The best 4 teams in 4A are in Region 3. That's right, I said it. CS will prove it next week. -

So am I, he was 80% of their offense when the game mattered. Now it doesn't matter, cuero has given up. -

I finally watched the Texan Live broadcast last night. We could've won that game but not without our "horse" in the backfield. We were moving the ball before he got hurt. Again, everything has to go your way to win those games. We were looking good with the turnovers but the injury to our stud was a killer. On another note, someone the other day said we weren't really moving the ball when Gales was playing... well, we had a 74 yd TD drive and when Gales got hurt mid way in the 1st qtr he had 34 yards rushing. He was only in the game for 1 turnover (he broke his arm on the first play after the second turnover). You never know, had he been able to finish the game we might have been up 21-0 after those 3 turnovers and it's a different ball game. -
I wouldn't be so sure of that.
